Sarina walked into the common room, quickly getting everyone's attention. She announced that we could pick our own roommates, as long as we didn't pick someone that we wouldn't get any sleep with. Lauren tapped my side that she was holding,
"Roomies?" She whispered into my ear, I nodded gently, careful not to knock her head too much. The rest of the partners were pretty straight forward, everyone had the person they'd wanted to be roomed with so there were no serious arguments. We were sent up to our rooms, I know that makes us sounds like four year olds, but Sarina said training started at 8am on the dot. So most girls wanted at least a little sleep before it started. The room layouts were pretty much the same as the hotel we stayed in for the Arsenal game, but they were so much nicer. We even had a balcony, though it wasn't very large. But the rooms were completely kitted out for our Euro journey, the first night we were also not allowed into each others rooms. Just so we could settle in; but that meant that me and Lauren were left alone for the evening.
Myself, being the nerd that I am decided to grab my book and sit out on the balcony reading. Just trying to relax myself. A pair of arms wrapped around my neck, and I rest my head backwards to look up at the blonde. She walked round and took a seat on the chair next to me,
"You handled today pretty well."
"Sounds like you had faith?" I laughed, closing my book with my finger still separating the pages.
"I did. Of course I did. " She replied, smiling, "I did have to refrain myself from saying something when I first met her. But she seems okay."
"Just okay?"
"Hm. For now."
"Oh and thank you, for not saying anything. Can you imagine how awkward that would've been?"
"Precisely why I didn't." Lauren replied, flashing her smile at me. I found myself staring at her, something that I found I'd been doing alot lately. But I pulled my eyes away before it became to obvious. The blonde reached up to her ponytail and pulled out the hair bobbles, massaging her head."If you can believe it I think that might be the first time I've seen you with your hair down." I said, turning my head slightly, "well. When it's dry anyway." I add, eluding back to the Arsenal game I wanted to relive so badly.
"Really? Hm. So- what do you think?" She laughed, standing up and flicking her hair dramatically with her hand. I giggled at her action, the kind of giggle someone does in high school when their crush walks into the room. I really needed to get a grip.
"I think you should wear it down more often. It suits you." I started, "not that a ponytail doesn't suit you."
"Nice save." She smirked, I reached over and hit her arm, shaking my head slowly. Lauren headed back into the room. I stayed outside, planning on getting to the end of my chapter. The balcony door opens back up again, I twist my head, but get a hoodie to the chest.
"You felt cold earlier." Lauren states, turning on her heel and making her way back inside. I opened out the hoodie, not recognising it as one of mine. She realised I felt cold, but rather than getting me my tracksuit jacket which was literally resting on my bed she gave me one of her hoodies. This girl needs to sort out her priorities.I slipped the hoodie over my head and carried on with my chapter; when I did finally come to the end it had gotten dark outside. I checked the time on my phone; 10:08pm. Not desperately late, but late enough to warrant heading back inside. I pushed the balcony door open and found Lauren lying on her bed, phone in hand. She glanced at me as I walked in,
"Nice hoodie." She smiled, though I could've sworn there was a slight smirk in her voice.
"I also have a nice jacket there." I start, pointing towards the kit on the end of my bed, "look."
"Yeah. But the jacket doesn't quite suit you as much."
I rolled my eyes playfully at the girl, then pulled the hoodie off, ready to get changed into pajamas.
"Thank you though." I reply, throwing it carefully in her direction,
"Oh anytime. I packed way to many jackets and hoodies, so feel free to borrow any."
"Might just take you up on that. Because as usual, I've under-packed."I headed into the bathroom to get changed into my pajamas at about half ten ish. Guaranteed it was early, but we had an early start in the morning. I mean breakfast was at seven, and I did need a shower.
I placed my phone on the bedside table after setting an alarm for six am. I made sure it was a vibrate one, as to not wake Lauren.
"If I'm not awake by half six can you wake me please. I hate getting up early.
"Sure." I smiled, chuckling.
"Thanks, Goodnight Ali."
"Night Hemp."|•|•|•|
