F_ck you Harrington ( Steddie fanfic )

Chapter 1

"JESUS H CHRIST HENDERSON. I never gave you permission to bring that asshole to our campaign did I? You know what the fuck he thinks of me! Of us!" Eddie gestured around at people in the room. He was glaring at Dustin with a big frown on his face.

Dustin only looked up at Eddie with a sad frown and big, sad eyes "I thought... I thought..." he mumbled, looking at the table.

They were in the lunchroom at school. People were staring at the scene Eddie was making.

Eddie sighed, realizing that he was seriously hurting Dustin. He felt a pang if guilt, sitting down next to Henderson and placing his hand on his shoulder "Look man... I didn't mean to upset you. I just don't want you to be hurt by Harrington. I know how he can be-" He was cut off my Henderson pushing his hand off of his should.

"Shut up Eddie. You don't know how Steve is. Not in the fucking slightest." Dustin looked at Eddie with anger in his eyes, making Eddie look at the table, fiddling with his rings.

He felt bad and knew that he overreacted.... He shouldn't judge Steve at all. He himself preaches that all the time. No judging people till you know them... and he broke one of his own rules, hurting one of his friends in the process.

"He literally fucking sacrificed his life for me and the others. He's been there for m when I needed someone... he even gave me fucking dating advice! That's how I got Suzie!" Dustin's voice was shaking. It sounded like he was crying.

Shit...

Eddie quickly got up and grabbed Dustin by the shoulders, tears welling up in his own eyes. He hates seeing the guy crying.... so he feels so fucking bad for making his best buddy cry.

"How... how can I make it up to you Henderson? I didn't mean to upset you.. I was just being angry...  I really am sorry!" tears started to fall from Eddie's eyes.

Fuck, people are staring. He hates crying in front of people but he can't help it now.

"Talk to Steve. Get to know him! That's how...  that's how." Poor Dustin was shaking from his sobs.

Eddie pulled him into a hug, Dustin's arms wrapping around Eddie.

"I promise kid... I promise I'll get to know Steve. I need to follow my own advice sometime..." he chuckled sadly, earning a chuckle from Dustin.

Gareth made a loud "Aaawww" sound, holding his hand to his chest as if he was watching a sad movie "You guys are gonna make everybody cry!' he was being sarcastic of course.

Steve was on his way to pick up the kids from school. Dustin had convinced him to give Eddie a ride to his place.

Steve didn't agree at first but Dusting gave him his puppy dog eyes, making Steve cave in.

Steve hated being the babysitter sometimes but he wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

Steve stopped in front of the school, getting to take a smoke. He leaned against his car, pulling a cigarette and lighting it.

He really looked like a parent right now.

Lucas and Max were the first ones to get out of school. They were talking to each other with big smiles.

"Young love..." Steve smiled, mumbling to himself. He was proud of them for getting through the whole Vecna thing.

Steve noticed that Eddie was following the two with just an equally proud smile on his face.

God... that fucking smile. It made Steve's stomach do the flips. He didn't know why, thought it was just intimidation.

He wished that he and Eddie had grown closer after the Vecna thing but Eddie seemed to avoid him. He didn't understand why because Eddie was always nice to him when they were fighting Vecna.

Guess he was just faking.

Steve let out a shaky sigh when he noticed that Eddie was standing in front of him "See anything you like Harrington?"

Steve furrowed his eyebrows. Why was Eddie being nice to him all of a sudden?

"Uh... no. Just spaced out I guess. Been tired." Steve made up an excuse. He was definitely staring at Eddie.

Eddie snorted, clearly not believing him "What? You got a crush on me or something?" he teased, getting closer to Steve.

Steve pushed Eddie away gently "Shut up and get in the car." he glared at Eddie.

Eddie raised his eyebrow, getting into the passengers seat.

Steve felt that his face was really hot and that his heart was beating quickly.

Fuck fuck fuck.

Steve dropped off the last of the kids, leaving only him and Eddie in the car.

"You mind me smoking some weed in your car Harrington?" Eddie asked, looking at Steve with those big brown eyes.

Steve sighed, shrugging "Do whatever you want."

Eddie pulled out a joint and lit it with his lighter, taking a puff and blowing it out after he opened the car window.

"So, how's it been since the Vecna thing Steve?" Eddie asked.

Steve was a bit caught off guard "Uh... been... bad?" he semi asked "Keep getting nightmares... y'know, stuff like that." he wasn't really that ready to open up to Eddie just yet.

Eddie nodded "I get that. I've been struggling with nightmares too... and staying in he trailer park hasn't been easy."

Steve glanced at Eddie for second. He was really confused as to why Eddie was trying to act like friends.

"Eddie... why are you trying to be nice? Thought you hated me." he asked.

Eddie shrugged "Made Henderson cry... just trying to make it up to him." he took another drag of the joint, the tip lighting up as he inhaled.

Steve stiffened up a bit, feeling a bit mad at Eddie "You made him cry?" he asked in an angry voice.

"Jeez man... I regretted it the instant I saw the poor dude tearing up. That's why I'm trying to be friends with you dumbass." Eddie blew out the smoke, coughing softly a few times.

Steve sighed, calming down a bit "Did he actually ask that? If so then we could make it work I guess." his eyes were glued on the road.

He was startled when he felt a hand on his shoulder.

Eddie's hand.

"Really appreciate it man. Little guy really does look up to you. Stood up for you like a champ." Eddie spoke in a soft voice.

Eddie was staring at Steve as he drove, just smiling softly. He took his hand off of Steve's shoulder after a bit.

He decided to put out the joint, clearing his throat "Wanna hang out tonight? I could spot you some free weed and we could watch some movies." he didn't know why he invited Steve.

He didn't know why he wanted Steve to say yes. He didn't know why Steve looked attractive to him. He didn't know many things at the moment.

Steve nodded "Sure. sounds fun."

Eddie's hear fluttered a bit at that. He smiled a bit, staring out of the window.
