Taehyung and Jungkook met when they were five and six years old. Jungkook was born a year before him. They were engaged to one another at 18 per their family arrangement. It is quite normal to do so in prestigious families. Also they didn't really have a say so. They only meet once a year, with small dates, and usually family is always there. Jungkook did enjoy it and he was attracted to the omega but he became distant after the Taehyung was sent away to complete his duties.

At the age of 20, Taehyung was sent to study abroad  to complete his omega duties that he has been training to do since 4 years old. He is to return in two years, during that time Jungkook would spend training on alpha duties and running his father's business.

Unlike his friends, Jungkook went off the rails thinking that an arranged marriage was stupid. Beneficial for business. But he didn't know Taehyung and Taehyung didn't know him. The omega did try to make contact... plenty of times often sending him letters and sweet warm messages which Jungkook tended to ignore.

It hurt more when Taehyung found out that Jungkook was seeing other omegas while he waited for him. It hurt finding out. What hurt most is that Jungkook didn't feel sorry. When both families found out, Jungkook's mother was ashamed and couldn't speak to her son. Both fathers didn't say much, instead agreeing to sweep it under the rug because Jungkook stopped when they got married. Taehyung's mother felt sorry for her son. Taehyung's best friend Hoseok and Jimin were angry but they couldn't do much since Taehyung asked them not to. Most of Jungkook's friends were kinda shock to find out and most of them were angry like Namjoon, Jin, and Yoongi.

"So what you fell into her pussy and that's what happened?" Namjoon said furiously while Jungkook just smirked.

"Look I wrapped it up." Jungkook explained.

"Jungkook do you know how stupid you sound right now?" Namjoon asked.

"Hey, it's not that big of a deal. It's fine to let someone help me out in a rut." Jungkook nonchalantly stated.

"You are married!" Namjoon yelled at him.

"To someone I don't know. All for business. All for a family arrangement! It's not my fault he was expecting Prince Charming and got reality instead. Besides I haven't spoken to anyone since our wedding." Jungkook angrily stated back.

"Jungkook, do you know how much of an asshole you sound right now? Taehyung spent years preparing himself to be a good omega for you. He wanted to earn your respect and make sure he was good enough for you. Even in this day in age where omegas finally have a lot more rights. Taehyung deliberately wanted to give up his rights to love you. You are the one who gave him false hope. Remember that. If you were honest from the beginning he wouldn't have spend all that time trying to impress you. You broke his heart. Ripped it apart." Namjoon said calmly.

"I didn't ask him to do that." Jungkook rolled his eyes.

"You didn't have to Jungkook. That's what fated mates do but you ignore your wolf. You fell into your disgusting man instincts and you were unloyal. Hope you are happy." Namjoon said as he grabbed his briefcase and walked out.

"This is bullshit." Jungkook angrily commented as he got back to his work. He will explain to Taehyung that he hasn't been with someone since he came back and that he needed some release.

When he got home it wasn't much of a surprise to see the lights off. The omega had entered this depressed state and Jungkook didn't want to make things worse so he let the omega do his thing. But that sweet smell that he used too was replaced with a soft rainy smell. Pure anxiety and sadness.
