"What do you want from us elf?" Marius questioned.

The white haired elf sat across the table, he sat pinching the bridge of his nose and moving his cape as he seated himself. Before him spread across the table was an abundance of food. How this food was acquired was a mystery since there were no other kingdoms doing trade with them as far as Marius knew.

"For one moment please shut up. I have a horrible headache and you are making it worse." The elf spoke, not once looking at Marius.

"You seemingly took over my kingdom. You are an elf. You have no right-" Marius started.

"It is not your kingdom and you came into my lands, I have every right. I hear rumors and you have never been coronated and are no king in any written books." He said, annoyed. "And I am not an elf, that is insulting."

Not an elf? What is he then?

"What is it you want?" He questioned again.

"Your people." The white haired elf was looking at Marius now.

"No." He replied, leaning back in his chair crossing his arms.

"Maybe this wasn't clear. I wasn't asking for your permission."

"What do you need my people for? What have you brought me here for?"

"You have an influence on the humans and it would be preferred that they cooperate under my command. Otherwise things will be very difficult."

"What do you need my people for?" He repeated. Both men having a darker appearance upon their faces. The room feeling colder every passing second.

"That is none of your concern."

"That is every bit my concern!-"

"Marius! Marius! I've figured it out!" Aenon suddenly came bursting in. For some reason he was soaked head to toe.

"Aenon, please. I am in the middle of an important conversation. Leave!"

Aenon ignored this and threw a book in front of his brother while simultaneously grabbing a slice of bread and cheese. This was unpleasant because he was reaching over Marius to get it. This was also not good because Marius was already in a bad mood.

"Wook." (Translation: Look.) Aenon pointed to the book. His mouth full.

"What am I looking at? It's a bunch of nonsense. Go back to your room and put on something warm before you get sick."

"No, no. It's not nonsense. These are spells!" He said, after swallowing.

"That's ridiculous-"

"It's not." The elf interrupted. "I would also appreciate it if you would refer to me as Levi, human. You." He pointed to Aenon. "Come here with that."

Aenon walked over with the blue book.

"See, this is not nonsense. These are just different written languages. This in Endalin and this is elvish. It's disappointing you don't know this." The elf said. "And once again human, refer to me as Levi. Verbally and mentally."

What?

"I can hear your thoughts. It's Levi."

"That is violating my privacy!"

"Not really with how much goes on up there, which is not much."

Marius was feeling extremely angry. This elf, Levi, was now ignoring him to explain the book to his brother. This meeting was now pointless and he needed to do something. He stood up and excused himself even though no one was listening.
