'Jungkook's P.O.V.'

"Alright mom, I'll see you. Love you.",I walk across the doorstep after glancing at my mom, my peripheral vision absorbing her smile so I clasp the strap of my backpack tight on my shoulder.The air feels fresh around the garden that she likes to maintain on the lawn, mushy green grass prancing a scent along the line of shrubs as I walk towards the lane to take the footpath to the bus stop.My eyes hover over the neighbouring house to trace any signs of the presence of a girl but I don't catch her anywhere close so I revert my attention to my phone.

The screen lights up in my hand so I open the messages to check as I dozed off last night, wrecking over games but I find none worth replying.

As my footsteps approach the shelter of the bus stop,my gaze falls on the familiar figure of a girl who's sitting with her bag on her lap, her legs swinging beneath the bag.Her look instantly falls upon me but she averts her eyes to avoid the eye contact when I already caught her staring at me.She takes out her strawberry milk from her bag to sip tentatively on it, the flavour of which I know by heart now considering how she's never spotted without her favourite drink."Are you still on the same flavour?",I gain her attention when I take the seat next to hers and she moves further to give me a seat but also twists her mouth into a scoff at my words that carry a drip of sarcasm.

"Why do you bother? It's not like you pay for my milk.",She presses her lips into a straight line, moving her eyes towards the road to wait for our bus. I'm still amazed at the nonchalant behaviour that I receive from this small baby when all I see her doing in school is studying her books.I lean back onto my seat but still keep my gaze on her as she relishes her milk with the same content since the start of the semester."What's with the tone?I miss my sweet y/n.",I tease her, knowing that she would react the same way I want her but my eyes drop on her thick thighs that her short skirt reveals into my vision so I lick my lips to shift my gaze onto her.

"Oh I'm so sorry jungkook. I called you out for poking your nose into my business without any apparent reason.",She gives me a cheeky smile as a counter attack and I'm already loving this little game that I missed since the summer vacation.

"Oh no, don't smile. You're gonna kill me with that damn smile of yours.I can't breathe anymore.",My hand goes to my chest in a poor imitation, her eyes following my movements intently and her lips parting from the straw to look at me in belief but soon, I see the amusement on her face which makes me laugh at my exaggeration."You're seriously so dramatic.",She shrugs as usual , but chuckles adorably at my words. It's so easy to make her flush and hold the reins of the conversation with her.

"So tell me what did you do during our vacation?",I show some interest in her life as I'd like to know more about her. Although, she transferred from another school at the start of the semester and we're neighbours but I feel like I know much less about her.A soft hum escapes from her lips as she props her elbow on her bag to place her chin in the girth of her palm, her face turning to look at me and her lips glossy from the juice."Nothing much. We went for a vacation in Hawaii and then visited my grandma in daegu. That's one good thing because I hate the sun shining on my fucking head.",her tone expresses discontent,"What about you? Don't tell me you didn't get out of your room and played games all day.",She already guesses about me but tilts to look at me, her eyes peeking at me.

"Damn right, you know me well.I don't like visiting my relatives and I was too lazy to go anywhere so I stayed in my room or sometimes hung out with Dongseok.",She guffaws at my comment, a throaty chuckle leaving from her mouth and leans back, her body now sticking against mine but we don't show any hesitance.

"So you're telling me that you turned 19 and didn't go anywhere to celebrate your birthday?",She makes a big deal about a matter which seems of very less significance to me.I don't know why people go all out to throw big parties for their birthdays when it's just another day on this earth except the fact that you've turned a year older.
