I walked into work about a week later. I set all my stuff down before Percy walked in.

"Good morning, Larissa. Here's your schedule for today and-"

"No need, Percy," I interrupted, taking the papers from him. "You and I are going to get breakfast."

"Breakfast? Together?"

"Don't read too much into it," I smiled, linking arms with him to pull him close. I lowered my voice while keeping the smile on my face. "Just act normal, okay?"

"Why wouldn't it be-"

"Oh, Dolores, how lovely to see you," I beamed as she walked up to the elevator.

"You as well, Minister."

"Heading down for more trials?"

"Oh, yes. The Commission's work is never done."

"Of course not," I agreed as we stepped onto the lift. "Is Runcorn behaving himself?"

"A lot of sulking, but he's fine otherwise. You seem to keep him busy."

"Well, who else is going to fill out all the creature reports?" I teased. She laughed a miserable laugh that I reciprocated. I nudged Percy slightly so he would laugh too.

"So where are you two off to so early?"

"We're going to go get breakfast at that lovely shop down the street. Get some fresh air."

"Lovely," she smiled. "I always hoped you two would get close. Two perfectly capable young adults. It just seems fitting."

"It's just breakfast, Dolores," I pointed out.

"Of course. Of course." The doors opened to the lobby. "Have fun you two." We walked off the lift.

"Don't say anything until we're out of here," I demanded as we walked over to the Floo Network. We stepped in, coming out in Diagon Alley.

"Larissa, I-"

"Stop," I cut him off. "We're not gone yet." We walked out into the streets of London. We were silent until we got to a cafe. "Come on." I pulled him inside. As we walked up to the counter, I reached into my purse. "What do you like to eat?"

"Um, I don't, I already ate breakfast."

"Good morning," I smiled at the barista. "He'll have an americano, and I'll have a mocha cappuccino. Oh, and a muffin please."

"Can I get a name for the order?"

"Haley." Percy looked at me. I spoke quietly, "Can't give them my real name. Gives even more secrecy." She told me the total, and I handed her the muggle money.

"Since when do you have-"

"Thank you," I nodded, taking the change and guiding him over to a table in the corner. "Could you look more out of place please? Honestly, I don't think you played the wizard role enough." I sat down, motioning for him to sit across from me. "To answer your question, I always have muggle money in case I decide to go to a place like this. Sometimes it's the only way to get any privacy." I hooked my purse onto the back of the chair before putting my hands together on the table. "Go ahead, ask or say what you will."

"Larissa, while we may be on a first name basis now, I think our relationship should stay strictly professional as long as you're Minister. I don't-"

"I'm sorry to interrupt you again, but I'm going to stop you before you embarrass yourself further, Percy. This is not a date. And I have no intentions of this being a date. Believe it or not, you are not my favorite Weasley though you may be my second after all these months."
