Chapter 1:Life really sucks

Hazel's POV

"Get your fat ass down there before Alpha gets angry".I know the owner of the voice its pack member lacy. Like always Lacy said that after punching me on face. And after she feels satisfied she left the room without saying another word.

I stood there with glassy eyes the pain I Felt at this moment is nothing compared to the pain I suffered everyday in this hell hole. Shaking all the thoughts I quickly made my way downstairs. My body is trembling due to the cold.You must be thinking how can a werewolf feel cold.

Well we are practically wolves so we don't have heating system in pack house and my pack members think that I don't need food on daily basis like they need it. So I get food once or twice a week depends on their mood. That's why my werewolf abilities don't help me much. You can actually see just bones and skin if we talk about my appearance. I got Hazel eyes of my mom and my mom named me after my Hazel eyes. I got chestnut hair of my dad. And their is nothing special about my appearance.

When I reached downstairs pack, I saw members already scattered around some are talking while others are anxiously waiting for Alpha or you can say that my so- called father. I met with pairs of eyes glaring at me. Well I guess I walked fast enough to reach here on time, so why they are glaring daggers at me. I just ignored their glares and moved my eyes towards the ground. Suddenly everyone went silent and I heard the voice that belongs to Luna Clara or you can say that my step mother. She is talking to Alpha and I can also hear the voices of both my step sister darcy and step brother Jason.

Finally the voice of Alpha boomed across the pack house "Dear pack members I called you hear to tell you something important as you know my son and your soon to be Alpha has found his mate and soon I am going to handover my Alpha position to my son on his 20th birthday which is after 1 month. But we want to strengthen our pack by signing treaties with other packs"

Well I don't know where is this conversation going but than I thought about Jason's mate but who is she, I guess she belongs to another pack that's why I haven't seen her around till now. After hearing this pack members started whispering but soon they went back silent as the Alpha continued the speech.

"We are going to sign treaties with neighboring packs including Blood Moon Pack" Just after hearing that, I heard pack members gasping and once again members started whispering to one another.

They were all silenced by Luna's voice "As you know we are going to sign a treaty with Blood Moon Pack. They will be visiting our pack after 3 days and we want everyone to show there best behavior in front of them. Now everyone can leave
except Hazel".When she said my name she said it with so much hatred that shivers runs down my spine.

After everyone left the room, while leaving me alone with my so-called family. I dare not to raise my eyes from the floor and make eye contact with any of them.

Finally she spoke to me "You're going to clean every inch of the house in three days and I will give you a list of meals which will be prepared on guests arrival" And I answered her "yes Luna".

Just after the words left my mouth I heard the pairs of foot moving away from me. Finally I raised my eyes from the floor and raced towards the kitchen to prepare the dinner for everyone while some members are watching movies, some are in backyard while the others are away on pack business.

After the dinner when everyone left to sleep. I cleaned the dishes and kitchen before I made my way towards my room. My room is at 3rd floor. I opened the door and closed it behind me after entering in room. The room consists of an old mattress with a pillow and thin blanket, a small dresser which consists of some piece of clothing that I own since long time, and an old rocking chair near the window.

I laid down on the mattress and think about everything that happened today. In morning, I got up early and prepared the breakfast and when I was leaving the dinning hall after serving breakfast to everyone, someone pushed me and I ended up spilling coffee on darcy and she kicked and punched me for ruining her dress. After that everyone was out on their daily routines and I cleaned the whole pack house and prepared lunch and when I was doing the laundry that girl Lacy told me to go downstairs.

Well today was not that bad because I get to eat some leftovers in dinner after starving for four days. After tossing for quite sometimes, I get up from the mattress and sit on chair near the window. The moon is shining brightly out there in sky along with stars. There's complete silence in Woods out there. But I know many pack members are out there for there daily run. Like every other night of my life, I get lost while thinking about the memories of past. They are the only thing that I can recall and think about. Because I'm not sure about my tomorrow, let alone Future.
