Chapter 5: First Meeting of Mates

Maddox's POV:

            I informed everyone about my visit to Winter Wood's pack. I have also assigned jobs for every pack member to perform in my absence. I will be away for a week or 10 days so  my beta Luke and his mate Zoe will be in charge of pack. While my delta Cameron and his mate Julie will accompany me during the visit.

         I am also taking some pack warriors with me. And right now I am finishing some paper work because I don't want to see stacks of paper on my table after a long tiring trip. Our pack is in Virginia and the Winter woods pack is in Florida. So its pretty long trip.We will be leaving pack house tomorrow after lunch. It's a road trip so we will be there on time I guess exactly after 13 hours of traveling.

        After finishing my work I walked toward my room and then I entered in my closet to pack my bag for trip and after finishing packing I went to sleep.

Hazel's POV:

        Walking downstairs wasn't the good idea with my injuries and broken ribs. But who cares I don't have a choice. When I reached downstairs I am panting heavily and my lungs are burning due to the shortage of air supply. After some moments when my breathing calm down I limped toward the kitchen. I dragged my self around the kitchen to collect all the breakfast ingredients. After I collected ingredients I can hear people getting up in pack house and soon there's hustling and bustling around. I am quietly making break fast when I heard noises. I recognized the voice its Darcy's voice along with Lacy's voice and some other pack girls.

           Well they are talking about how hot and handsome Alpha Maddox is and how good it will be if they will be his mate.

           Every mateless girl from my pack is acting like crazy these two days because they want to look there best if Alpha Maddox is going to be there mate. I don't know why but I felt irritation when they talked about him.

              After finishing preparation of breakfast. I start cleaning the pack house while everyone was having breakfast. I wonder why nobody joked about the bruises on my face till now like they always do.

         After finishing quickly I get back in the kitchen and start preparing food for the guests. I saw everyone gathering in front of pack house that means they are here. I wrapped the kitchen quickly and I was leaving for my room because my father don't like me around when there are guest at pack house. I reached at the door steps of kitchen when my step mother's voice stopped me dead in my tracks.

      "Where do you think you are going. You also have to serve it" Well Shit I got that she want to embarrass me in front of guests and everyone because of my limping and all.

            I have no choice other than to follow her orders so I just nodded my head and turned back to the kitchen and sit their on one of the chairs around dining table.
         
              After waiting for quite sometimes I feel the pain shooting from my abdomen gash due to my sitting position and non-stop moving around since I woke up.

         Finally I see everyone scattering around which means the guest are with Alpha in his office now. So I placed everything in kitchen trolley gracefully.

          I than waited in front of kitchen for someone to give me signals. And I finally got the signal from one of pack members. My body is aching but I pursed my lips in thin line and knocked at the Alpha's office door.

Maddox's POV:

             After the long tiring trip we finally reached at Winter Woods pack. We were expecting to meet pack warriors at their border but instead there was no one at their borders not even patrolling pack guards. Now I am furious at their carelessness. Finally we reached in front of pack house. There pack house is much more smaller than our pack house.

           I can see everyone outside the pack house. We got out from our cars. I bring 6 pack warriors, my delta, delta female with me.
As I start walking towards the pack house suddenly my Wolf become restless. I asked him if everything is okay. He just said he don't know.

              "Welcome to Winter Wood's Pack. I hope that you had a safe journey here "Alpha Jack said sweetly which made me feel sick. I just shrugged and replied in bored tune" Yeah we had a safe journey and I have also seen how much you are worried about your pack safety". I said the last part in sarcastic tone.

          He ignored what I said shamelessly and introduced his family to me. And this whole time I can feel Unmated girls staring at me. Alpha's daughter is also checking out me shamelessly. I just ignored them and when I entered the Pack house besides Alpha jack and his family the smell of rain and cherries hit my senses and my restless wolf possessively said "Mate ... Mine".

            I start looking around but I can't see her around but her smell is so strong around here. So I guess she lives here. I want to find her, to hold her in my arms but I have to control myself and my wolf so i just followed Alpha to his office. After talking to Alpha Jack I will go and find my mate. I told my wolf to calm down.

        Just when I was calming my wolf down my mates smell grew stronger and closer to me I can feel it through mate bond.

There was knock on the door and right after it she entered in the office I keep my eyes towards the wall in front of me. I didn't dare to look at her. I don't want to lose control in front of everyone. I felt that she is placing coffee and other food items on table in front of us. Wait my mate is omega.

"Shut up asshole no matter who she is, what her status is, she is our mate and we are going to love her no matter what and she is born to be our Luna" my wolf growled at me.

      "Calm down Blake I know I was just saying" I was busy talking with blake but suddenly interrupted by the voice of slap and shouting. And turned and I looked towards the scene on my right side my whole world just stopped. I just froze in my place. In front of me Alpha Jack's daughter was shouting at my mate. Yes my mate she is looking down at the floor her beautiful chestnut brown hairs covered her face so I can't see her face properly but she again got slapped by that girl and she fell down on the floor and my blood boiled watching the scene in front of me. How dare she slapped my mate twice. My wolf and I lost our temper and I quickly moved from my seat and carried my mate in bridal style.

I feel those amazing sparks when I touched her and one look on her face and I feel so much anger that I can't even explain. I looked toward the people in room and I can tell they are shocked by my this action. But right now I don't Care about them. I think if I stand here for one more minute, then I am going to rip that girls heart out who dared to touch my mate. So I mind linked my pack members to follow me.

         I get out from the pack house and we sit in our cars my mate is sitting in my lap and I ordered my delta to drive out from the Winter Wood's land to the nearest hotel. And then I heard the sweetest voice of my mate "Where are you taking me". I wanted to listen her voice forever but right now I just put my finger on her lips and told her "hey don't worry I got you, you are safe with me, just go to sleep."
