Chapter 23: Silence before Storm

Hazel's POV:

I talked to April about how I spend my life and how much I wanted to meet her. She also told me about my powers and some kind of prophecy that I couldn't understand much. Soon I was surrounded by darkness and then I felt light blinding me so I closed my eyes back.

Wait did I just closed my eyes, I slowly opened my eyes again and  it took some time for me to adjust to light. I slowly tried getting up from my place but it felt like my limbs are numb. But after some struggle I was able to get up. I now looked around me and got the deja vu feeling. It felt like the first time I arrived at Maddox's pack.

I wonder where's he now, and what's he doing. As I was thinking about him. I smelled mouthwatering masculine cinnamon scent and I know it's Maddox scent. I turned my head towards the doorstep and here he was standing while looking at me. The first thing I noticed was his mismatched eyes. I wondered what happened to him in my absence. I walked towards him and stand right in front of him.

I put my hands on both sides of his face. He looked tired, his eyes are not warm brown anymore but I can still feel warmness in his eyes for me. I also feel those amazing sparks flying across my body.

Then I remember about meeting with mom and Moon Goddess and the fear of never seeing Maddox again. I started crying, and hugged him tightly.

Maddox's POV:

She hugged me tightly like her life depends on it. After sometimes when she stopped crying. I carefully separated her and now looked at her swollen Emerald eyes. Goddess she looks absolutely breathtaking. She looked beautiful before but now she look more beautiful.

" Hey, Are you alright?" I asked her while caressing her cheeks.

" Yeah, its just I thought I won't be able to see you ever again" she said while sobbing.

" Hey, don't cry I'm here and I am never gonna leave you " she just nodded her head like an obedient child and she looked so cute.

" What happened to your eyes?" She asked me while looking suspiciously at me.

" Oh I'm not the only one whose eyes are changed Sweetheart" I chuckled while looking at her lovingly.

" Umm, who are you talking about" She looked confused and god she look so innocent. I just shaked my head in amusement and picked her up in my arms. I know she will be shocked after seeing herself in mirror. I don't want to take any kind of risk.

I want to keep her safe and I think my arms are safest place for her. She just looked at me with confusion written all over her face. She didn't even protest against me and I love this fact when she don't protest against me or try to ran away from me.

I walked in the closet and stand in front of mirror.

"Look in front of you Sweetheart but please turn slowly" I whispered in her ear because she was looking at me with so much concentration.

She slowly turned her head to look in front of her. And I just stared at her expressions that turned from confusion to shock.

"What the hell happened to me Maddy?" She shouted in disbelief and I am amused to see her reaction. She look so cute while shouting. But wait did she just called me Maddy.

"I'm asking you something Maddy" I came out of my thoughts and she again called me with same name.

"When you were asleep you healed and after transformation your scars also disappeared and your eyes changed their color because we're special wolves" She was listening to me so carefully and comprehending every single word I told her.

"Did you just gave me a name Sweetheart" I asked her while remembering what she called me before twice.

"Yeah I gave you name, because you also gave me one" I just looked at her confident and innocent face, its really getting hard to resist my urges. I just shaked my head to get rid of my evil thoughts.

"Just don't call me Maddy in front of pack members" I told her in a very serious tune, I love the fact that she's feeling enough comfortable to give me name. But I don't want my pack members to laugh at the name she gave me.

"How about you gave me a good name then I can promise to change your name to a good one, good enough to be called in front of pack members?" She said with her eyes twinkling with excitement.

"Okay, we will deal with this later" I said while helping her down to stand on her own feet.

"My eye look so beautiful now" she muttered while touching them and looking in mirror.

"Yeah they look beautiful but your hazel eyes were also beautiful"

"But I hated them because of him" and I know who she means by him, her bastard father.

Before I say anything her stomach growled loudly and she quickly covered her face in her palms while blushing furiously and I just chuckled at her innocent way to hide her embarrassment.

"You don't need to be embarrassed Hazel, it's just normal to be hungry and you don't need to hide your cute blushing face away from me" I said while removing her hands.

"Are you comfortable to go down there in pack kitchen or should I just ask someone to bring meal here" I asked her while remembering about the other pack members.

"Umm, no we can just eat in pack kitchen I will be fine Maddox" she said with assuring smile.

After that she walked along with me to the pack kitchen. I saw amusement and aww on her face while she was looking around.

" See who is here kiddo" pack cook jane said to pack pups while looking at my mate.

" She's so beautiful" one of the pups said while looking at her in aww.
I know everyone is already in love with her. She is just perfect to be the luna of this pack.

After introducing everyone to Hazel. Janet served us meal. I wanted to look at her while she was eating but I just stopped myself from doing so. I don't want to feel her uneasy.

She ate till she was full and that made me feel so happy because when I first meet her she can't eat more than few bites. Now she's eating huge portions of food just like every other werewolf. Due to fast metabolism and her transition she will eat a lot at first but slowly she will be able to control and maintain her hunger.

After finishing her meal I asked her about meeting pack members and introducing herself as Luna. I also told her about the excitement of pack members to meet her. She agreed for the pack meeting although she looked nervous. I assured her that she will be fine and I will be by her side all along.

Third person's POV:

" Did you just tracked them?" Mysterious man asked the person standing in front of him.

" Sir we tracked them but there's problem" man said while trembling with fear.

" What's it now?" Man asked angrily.

" We tracked them at Alpha Maddox's pack and we don't know if they are alive or not".

"I ordered you to catch them before they reach somewhere" the man stated while punching the man really hard in his face.

"Now go and bring them here alive or dead or else I will kill you all, useless dogs" the man stated angrily while punching that person one more time.

After that the person walked out of the room with bloody face and the man send someone mind link saying, " I found them and you know what is surprising, everyone we want to kill are now finally together at one location" after that he started laughing like a crazy sick person.
