We were at the place talking, laughing and just have a good time. The food was good and everything. It was all just good.
"So you ready for the surprise?" Ace asked
"I thought we were done with the surprise" I whined as he chuckled
"You like a big ass baby real shit.. but close ya eyes" He said as I sighed
"Hurry up" I said
"Shh. " He said. "Ight open them. " He said as I opened
"What's this..?" I asked
"No I'm not proposing so calm yo emotional ass down" He said as i wiped a tear
"But this is a start. This right here is my promise to you.. I just want you to know I'm not going anywhere and ima do anything in my world to make sure y'all straight. I just wanna promise to you that y'all will forever be straight no matter what. I promise" He said. "Do you accept it or you gone embarrass me?" He asked as I chuckled
"Yes I accept it" I smiled
He took the ring out the box and placed it on my finger.
"I love you" He said
"I love you more." I smiled
"That's why I said let's go eat. I wanted to treat you and surprise you. So now don't question me cause I made a promise and ima keep it" He said as I smiled
The ring was beautiful. I didn't think Ace would be the type to even pick out a promise ring or anything cause he wasn't the type to do that at all. But I guess I was wrong.
"You picked this out all by yourself?" I asked
"Nah Essence" He said and my mouth dropped
"Since when y'all were together?" I asked
"We wasn't together. I sent her the website and she picked the ring out" He said as he took a sip of his drink
"Wait so yall have each other number?" I asked
"Yea but it ain't saved. That's yo friend I asked her for a favor and she helped. Plus Essence wouldn't do no shit like that anyways. Now zion yea that's a different story" He said
"Yea I know Essence wouldn't do anything like that. I trust her. I'm just tryna see how and when did you have the time" I said
"Don't worry bout all that. Mind ya business" He chuckled as I mugged him
"Shut up" I smiled
"Ready for your check?" The waiter asked
"Yes and to go boxes please. " I said. "Oh and a to go cup too I'm sorry" I added
"This shit finna be about $200" He chuckled
"You lying" I said and he chuckled
