💙Evening💙

"Misty can you help Nia bring extra cartons of water bottles!" Staff leader asked Misty, who replied with a soft yes and proceeded with Nia towards the catering area.

Misty wasn't happy at first knowing the extra chances of getting judged and scrutinised when her staff coordinater ordered her right away in morning to be at the other branch for work, which was almost an hour away.

From what she gathered from two interns who accompanied her to that place was that the event was held by the state department and even foreign delegates were supposed to attend, but as soon as they reached it turned out that they arranged it specifically to honour NGOs working for physically and mentally challenged people, especially orphans and elderly people with no support.

Misty could feel her mood get lightened just by the thought of helping with them and she was the first one to readily accept the responsibility of looking after kids and if required elders too.

"You are really good with kids Misty...I was practically gawking as you controlled that panicked child" Nia praised talking about the little girl suffering from autism.

"Thank you and I have a son her age." Misty replied while they loaded the cartons on trolley and moved out.

"You have a son? You don't look like mom and is he aut-" the blabbering girl was cut off immediately by Misty.

"No he isn't. Autistic or not kids are kids, they are innocent creatures and once you find out what's bothering them, it gets easy to get them out of panic attack or any mental stress." Misty answered while looking at the garden with her bright eyes and greeting and smiling in between at the guests walking by.

"It's beautiful. You guys did a wonderful job with decorations." Misty added, looking at beautiful flowers which were decorated across the tables.

"Ohh you can't imagine what kind of trouble we all went through as it was a last minute change on decorations, especially with flowers. Even this added event with NGOs was also last minute demand, that's why we needed extra hands." Nia explained as they reached their destination from where waiter took over the trolley and started arranging the cartons on mini truck which was supposed to deliver various food items and clothes to Orphanage and old age homes.

"I can understand but still I feel happy that this day went with me working as well as helping with such noble cause no matter how small of a help I am." Misty said finally feeling all the negativity leaving her body.

The day finally came to an end with Misty standing near the bus stand desperately waiting for bus. She had already called Ray's school to informing them of being late probably by half an hour and they were fine with having Ray in waiting area under supervision.

"signora, per favore, compri quest'ultimo fiore. senza profitto, a tre euro per favore." Misty got startled as soon as she heard an old voice from behind and turned to find an old man with five beautiful tulips bunched together.

She didn't knew if it was really a coincidence, but she spent all her last five birthdays with doing things she liked. It was either a welfare association needing help for poor when she stayed at hostel with her toddler son or social projects with college specifically on that day.

What striked her the most was that at the end of each birthday she would get requested by some street seller for sure with the request to buy flowers that too only tulip and like every other time she always agreed to buy them..... just like today.
