"Here you go...congratulations dear" Misty's professor wished her upon going through her academic reports. This was practically her last day, as she had her graduation ceremony in a day.

"I hope you do well in future and don't forget to contact me if you need any help" the old man told his student.

"Thank you for your words sir, they mean a lot" Misty momentarily got stiff before passing him her soft smile.

She learnt it hard way, that there was always more meaning behind peoples words then they show and that it was a mere formality. It wasn't like Misty expected anything from the people around apart from some mutual respect.

But somehow most of her acquaintances took it upon themselves to preach her lessons on how to live her life and how they could help make her life better with their weightless offers and baseless ideas. She knew that when push comes to shove, they would all disappear without trace.

To her batchmates Misty was their buddy when it was about help with studies, assignments or other mandatory activities.
But she was not close enough to have a simple hangout or invites to their home.

She was a good influence in professional circle but bad influence on personal and moral levels.

Many tried to bully her on her initial days, but she decided long ago to not tolerate any of that and never let any of them walk over her.

Therefore, she had colleagues and batchmates but no friends, because that's what it was from their sides.

She ensured it that way.

Misty thanked her professor before taking leave, nodding and smiling at most of her batchmates and juniors who waved towards her with warm expressions on her way to locker room.

Misty looked relieved as she opened her locker, finding no letter stuffed inside from the corners.

"Didn't knew you unknowingly wait for this" She stared at the paper being flashed infront of her head.

"Sorry...but I'm not interested" She spoke politely, but didn't bother to turn around, taking her time transferring items from her locker into a carry bag and useless items in black garbage bag. Effectively cleaning her locker for new students.

"And why not! It's not like I'm asking to marry you. Try me for some day and...you can always return and exchange" her cocky and rude batchmate offered, while cackling along with his friends.

She turned to leave, but apparently the guys felt overconfident on their last day.

Misty bit her lips as if pondering on something, while the boys practically fawned at her beautiful features.
Too bad that someone knocked her up before they could because given her beauty any sane man would have happily accepted her responsibility.

"Leave if you don't want to get tased" Misty simply stated, showing them her mini taser. Though she looked calm, they knew Misty would actually use it without regret.

"Let's go man....let the momma bitch go" One of her batchmate mocked before getting out of her way.

"The way you guys don't leave a chance to sniff around, anyone can guess who the Dogs are." Again she replied in polite but loud tone, effectively gaining passerbys attention.

With that she dumped the waste bag in nearest dustbin and proceeded to walk out of the college. The place which she respected for providing her education and degree, but which held no emotional value.
