The next day came, and Zhan was meditating unmoved from yesterday. He was furious when he remembered a few memories, but he wanted to know everything. For the past 15 hours, he didn't move, and somehow a strong barrier formed around him. It was preventing his two servants from waking him up. They started to get worried, so a-qing left to inform the emperor. But the emperor was in the morning court, so she had to wait.
Xiao Zhan's POV:
I have finally regained all the memories. Every single thing; how they killed Zhan's mother and poisoned him, how he lost his spirit, how they bullied him before and even after marriage, how they framed him and accused him of things he never did, how they made him look evil in front of his husband. But he was confused about one thing, throughout the memories emperor's behavior was unpredictable. When they were kids, the emperor was the only one who treated him well. But when they got married, the emperor started behaving coldly. And the previous Zhan was so dumb that he followed the emperor everywhere, and to make it worse other two consorts began blaming him for everything. The emperor's hatred for him grew day by day. And finally, one day, his King attacked him with his deadly powers. And he almost died... NOOOOOO... Zhan really died. The previous Zhan was dead now, not just him but his baby too!!! But no matter what I did, I couldn't bring myself to hate the King. His behavior was reasonable. If I had to marry someone I don't love, that to a man... I might have done the same thing. BUT... No matter what, Zhan and his baby didn't deserve what they got. So now, I will get revenge for them. And then I will leave this palace to travel around new kingdoms till my death.
Author's POV:
When Zhan finally opened his eyes, he saw a worried face of Yubin. But when his eyesight got clearer, he saw a barrier around him. Initially, he was confused, but then he could feel tremendous energy flowing in his body. It took some time for him to understand what it was. In this world, royal blood will have both soul and spirit. Spirit is like a shield for the soul; it will protect your soul from any danger. If the attack is deadly, your spirit will be destroyed first, and then your soul. The spirit of Zhan was already gone when he was a kid. And now, his soul might be resting in peace (not yet I guess...). But this Zhan is different now, with a new soul. He might have his own spirit. But he needs to keep it secret for now. That's why he asked Yubin to bring him breakfast. When he went out, Zhan locked the door and windows of his cottage; And summoned his soul. But what he saw made him dumbfounded..."How is it possible????........"
