13. And He Messed Up Again...

Every single person... well other than two consorts and their families were regretting decisions they made in the past, based on the rumors they heard. Yes+... gossips talk about Zhan and his mother.

The very first rumor was they were as ugly as monsters, and that's why they always covered their faces. No one has seen his face now either. But the so-called divine snow, the fated mate of their fire dragon, cannot be ugly, right?

They both were trained under the same master. Mr. Wang fell in love with Carman the second she saw her. Carman never covered her face. Only the main family who left the celestial mountain had to cover themselves. So after getting approval from all families both couples got married. But before that, their wives told them about their families. And both men were okay with that, they both loved their wives so much that other things never mattered to them.

The first few years were peaceful, but then they both had to get married again for some political benefits. Mr. Wang was the emperor so he could take care of his beloved better. But Mr. Xiao being an Army general at that time, he was often had to go to the borders. And that was what he regretted for the rest of his life. Not just him but Mr. & Mrs. Wang as well. After Zhan's mother's death Zhan, his father, and Mrs. Wang were most miserable. Some greedy bastards used that chance to slender Mr. Xiao's image after he got revenge for his wife's death. So Mr. Wang had to send his brother like friend to the borders forever.

But just after Zhan's birth when they saw the way healers reacted, they knew that Zhan was just like his Mother. Strong, elegant, and most beautiful...But just like all of us, they had weaknesses of their own. Even if they are most powerful, during the time of their pregnancy if their mate is not around they can be weak and vulnerable. And that's how she got poisoned during her 3rd unknown pregnancy, causing her and Zhan's younger sibling's death.
