11. In the court...

Zhan's POV:-

When that so-called king of this fucking kingdom told me that I need to be punished; trust me I wanted to kill every fucking person who hurt Zhan and his baby. But I completely lost it when I realized that I still couldn't bring myself to hate that Wang fucking Yibo!!! I was so angry with myself that I asked him to arrest me immediately. Because I'm dumb, the most stupid person on this planet. I had one simple job... just one simple job, to hate the murderer. The person who killed his innocent wife and unborn baby. But I'm so useless that I couldn't do such a simple task. I don't know what is stopping me from heating that man; the principles I grew up with or this heart that belongs to Zhan who loved that emperor so much. But it's better this way. As much as I have heard and read about this era, he will probably punish me by locking me in the dungeon. Well, I can break through it easily. I hope Yubin gege is safe...

But where the hell am I now??? This place doesn't look like a dungeon. It looks like some once office. But... whatever!!!

Narrator's POV:

When Zhan was busy in his own thoughts, the emperor teleported back to the study and went near Zhan.

"Stop working your little brain too much, YOUR Yubin gege is safe... yet. But you should think about what you will say in court in a few minutes."

A guard came in saying with a bow, " Your majesty, everyone has arrived."The emperor signaled his dark guard to take Zhan and they all left for the meeting.

When Zhan reached the courtroom Yibo was already seating on his throne. Every single person present in that room has mocking expressions. As if they were waiting for this day forever. Not even a single person in this palace ever cared for him except three, Wang Yibo's parents and his Yubin gege. He doesn't want to stay here for long, knowing that everyone hates him and wants him dead; this hurts more than he thought. He has no idea how the previous Zhan was dealing with all this. It was unbearable, not even in his previous life had he felt this lonely... Just a few minutes into this place surrounded by these evil people and he feels suffocated. He could see some people were shocked as well, no one expected him to be alive after that night. But what's the difference when the end results are going to be the same? Previous Zhan died that day and he will die here today. He could see how happy the other two consorts are. As the emperor's parents and Yubin were not here, he knew no one really cared about him. Even servants never gave him any respect.

Everyone was silent, waiting for the emperor to say something. Even though they knew why they all had been called here in the courtroom. Knowing that their plan was working the first consort and her father who is one of the respected ministers were happy and excited to see Zhan being punished. They actually wanted him dead. So being a little impatient Mr. Zhao asked the emperor, " Your Majesty, how this person is still alive and what is he doing in here? You gave your word that he wouldn't be coming back here. Sorry that I'm crossing my limits your Majesty but he once tried to kill my daughter. What if he tries to do that again -"

But before he could say further he heard the Fire dragon's angry growl and the next second other than Zhan every single person was kneeling to the emperor. His aura was murderous, one more growl and they would faint then and there. But the only person who was unaffected was Zhan... Standing straight, looking at everyone with his big doe eyes. When Yibo saw Zhan unaffected, to say he was shocked would be an underestimate. To this date, there was no one who could stand straight with their head held up. You can only survive when you have a Dragon spirit like Yibo's father has, he is an earth dragon. Or there is also a legend that says,


"When the earth shines with a heavenly glow,
Holy fire will need his divine snow...
to defeat the hell and repel every spell,
He shall die again & again..."

They said the fire is none other than Wang Yibo, but no one knows about the snow. Wang Yibo tried to solve this puzzle many times. He could see the problem coming in the future. He could feel it. But that's not it, deep down he knows that divine snow will be his true mate. The person he will love the most. And he knows that he could fight with heaven and hell for his Mate, his Love. People always think that he only loves his first consort and that's the reason he wants her to be his empress. But that's not true. Yes, he does like her, maybe love her a little, he used to admire her for being strong... But the main reason is, the empress has too much responsibility; not just in the palace but in war as well. This kingdom has this unwritten rule 'If the emperor is fighting one battle and if another enemy attacks the kingdom the Empress has to take responsibility and go to war.' For that empress needs to be strong. His first consort is strong enough. But he doesn't know why his parents want to make Zhan his empress, even though Yibo doesn't love him but he does care for him a little. He wants Zhan to be safe. He can't let his Mate be the empress either, he will never take risks when it comes to his mate's life. he wants his mate and Zhan to be safe always... He won't let anyone hurt them.

But now the question was why is Zhan so unaffected. Everyone thought that even if they are kneeling and the atmosphere is quite suffocating, the person who would be suffering the most is Zhan. But when they turned their heads slightly towards Zhan, he was completely unaffected...!!!! They can't see his face, but with his body language, one could easily say that he was not even a bit uncomfortable.

That's when finally the emperor said, "No one will open their mouth until I ask for it... Zhan, I know what you did. I saw it with my own eyes. But I'm giving you one chance because you are my third consort. Admit your crimes, and I might give you easy punishment."

Zhan was already frustrated, so when he heard what the emperor said, he was infuriated. He finally lost all his self-control. He had only one this in his mind, he wouldn't let go of any one of them until each one of them regrets coming here today. If they are here to watch a show, then he will give them a very good show.

No one had any idea that in a minute they were going to know what it feels like to be Frozen to Death!!!
