10. I Won't Let You Go...

"Your Highness, His Majesty said you can't leave the cottage until he says so... He will come here to meet you in an hour. And these are some desserts since you refuse to eat anything else. His Majesty asked royal chefs to prepare these for you." She kept the container filled with desserts on Zhan's desk. Zhan was confused about the emperor's decision, but he could do nothing. He nodded as to say okay.
After eating some desserts, he started reading some books about medicines. After some time he could feel strong power coming near his cottage. It was the emperor. When the emperor came in, Zhan immediately signaled Yubin and a-qing to wait outside.

The emperor's POV:

I was in morning court when a-qing sent me the signal. I assumed it was something about Zhan. I dismissed the court as soon as I could. And ask her to wait in my study. But when she told me about Zhan's request I was quite surprised. Since the day I left his cottage, I have never visited him again. But I send him fruits every day because that's what he eats nowadays. I was worried-... no not for him. I was worried that If anything happened to him my mother and father and also his family, especially that grumpy brother of his, would create more problems for me. So I asked the imperial healer if Zhan's diet was good enough for his health. But what the healer said shocked me again.
' Your majesty, the diet you just mentioned is said to be the healthiest diet according to the scholars of southwest kingdoms. Those kingdoms have the best knowledge in fields like spiritual energy, meditation, yoga, healing, surgeries, and nutrition. And as his highness is already healed, even after your dragon's attack; that means the diet is working like a magic for him. Or else, how can a person with no spirit survive your attack and now alive and kicking.'
What he said was true... even if I didn't use my whole strength, as my dragon was not willing to attack Zhan for a certain reason. It was almost impossible for him to survive. That too without proper treatment. There is definitely something that he is trying to hide. I could feel strong power when I was there last time.
'Zhan are you cheating behind my back... who is that bastard who has such a strong spiritual power. If you are cheating, I will kill that asshole in front of your eyes. It doesn't matter if I don't love you. You are married to me and that's a fact. You belong to me, period!!!'
I had a few important reports to go through, so I asked her to take desserts made for Zhan. After some time I teleported to his cottage, and I can still feel that strong spiritual power. I don't know why my dragon is telling me that it is not harmful. That moron, someone as strong as us is with our mate and this idiot is telling me that bastard is not harmful. When I reached inside there were just three of them Zhan, Yubin, and a-qing. I got confused but then all of a sudden I could feel someone concealing that power. Now I know there is someone Zhan is trying to hide from me. Zhan signaled two servants to go out, and he started speaking.

" Your majesty, I will get straight to the point. I know you don't want me around you. You don't want me anywhere around your consorts, I guess that's why you refuse to allow me into the palace. You might have multiple reasons for that, but I don't care anymore."

' WTH!!! It's the other way around you idiot. I don't want anyone else to see you. You don't have any idea what happened to me when I first saw your face. Wait..... why he isn't wearing his gloves. His skin looks so soft, can I touch it.... can I kiss- NO WAIT..... What is wrong with me!!! maybe he really has some kind of charm, no no maybe black magic or a curse on his skin. Yes, that is why I'm losing control again. Focus, focus ... Stay focused.'

"Just to let you know, I have decided to move out with Yubin ge."

' Move out.... move out... did he just say move out!!! He will leave me? The emperor? The most powerful dragon alive in this whole fucking world. And for whom? Wait.... yes, now everything makes sense. He is leaving me for that bastard who is as powerful as me. But you can't leave me Zhan, NEVER.'

"But before leaving I need to get my things from the palace. And that includes the spiritual weapons of my mother. As they consider me as their master, if anyone else tries to touch them they will be injured. So I have to go and get them myself. But if you want you can send someone to keep watch on me. And I'll go there at night. And once I get my things I'll leave immediately at dawn."

'Wow... So his plan is perfectly ready to execute. How dare he say he will leave at dawn. He will leave me for that man. I won't let that happen.'

Author's POV:-

Zhan could feel the emperor's anger raising, but why? Just because he said he would go to the palace to get his belongings.

'Just how much this man hates me? I don't have any other option and I can't leave my mother's spiritual weapons here...'

"Look I un-"

"What a great escape plan Xiao Zhan! Did you forget your crimes? Did you forget that you are supposed to get punished for attacking the first consort?"

' I wanted to keep you safe Zhan, away from all the troubles. But if this is what it takes to make you stay with me, then I'll do it. I will never let you go...'

The emperor could see how hurt Zhan is, but if he wants Zhan to stay here he has to do it.

Zhan thought, ' How can you forget idiot, this man in front of you is obsessed with his first consort. He can't tolerate a single scratch on her. Even though he had already killed the previous Zhan and his Baby. That's not enough for him. He wants you dead now. That's how he will take revenge on me, for the crimes I never committed. Just before you came here, when you sent those desserts for me; for a second I thought you cared about me. But no, you wanted me alive so you could humiliate me in your court and execute me in front of everyone. Thank you for giving me one more reason to hate you. Maybe now, my stupid heart will be able to hate you.'

The hurt feeling in Zhan's eyes turned into something different now. Something that the emperor never saw. Rage, Anger........ and maybe betrayal. The emperor knew, what he doing was wrong. Zhan had suffered enough when he was locked up in this cottage without food or a healer's treatment. But he can't think of any other reason right now. He has to take this matter to court so that he can stop Zhan from leaving. He'll never lock him up in a dungeon or something. He will buildup a small palace near his and will keep Zhan in lifetime imprisonment.

'Aishh... not really a lifetime. Just until I tame him, and convince him to stay with me forever. But not before I kill that bastard who's trying to steal my wife from me. Cursed or not, this beauty is for me to look, feel, and give & get pleasure from. If anyone else tries to claim it, that thing will die in the cruelest way.'

Zhan knelt down in front of the emperor. His eyes and face were red with anger, fists were so tightly closed that his knuckles turned white, gritting his teeth he said, " Of course your MAJESTY, how can it be forgotten what a grave mistake I made? But I just have one single request to tie me up right now and don't let my Yubin ge know about it. And summon the court right now. Because the more time you will give us, the more trouble we'll cause. And with my gege's powers, we can escape easily."

'Ahh... this little wife of mine. Stop looking at me like that. When he gave me that look, at first I got scared... FUCKING SCARED... I, Wang Yibo, the most powerful Fire Dragon got scared when his little wife without a spirit gave him a pissed-off look for the first time in his life, and that too just using his eyes. Well, I was scared for a second but now I feel aroused. What are you doing to me, Zhan? And how the hell did it become MY yubin??? That little wolf I will kick his butt if he talks unnecessarily to my wife.

I know you are hurt Zhan, but you will forget it soon. But what you said now makes sense, I have to capture you now. So that bastard lover of yours can't take you away from me.'

The emperor then mind-linked his best friend and right-hand man, to arrange an emergency court meeting. Then called his most trusted dark guard to capture Zhan and take him to his (Yibo's) study for now. Once Zhan was teleported, he asked other Dark guards to capture Yubin and lock him in this cottage without hurting him. He knows how much his wife cared for HIS Yubin gege. The emperor doesn't want to upset his wife anymore. And he teleported back to his study.
