Much against her will Nelly found herself in Devan's living room.

"Have a seat. " Devan motioned for her to sit.

Nelly sat at the furthest place as Devan went to the bar to get a drink, gulping it all down at once. Nelly couldn't help staring as the drink travelled down his throat making him look too edible.

"Damn hormones. " Nelly said not too loud blaming her hormones.

"Sorry I didn't catch that. " Devan said.

"Oh its nothing. "Nelly said.

Devan stared at her then nodded it off .

"Do you need anything? " He now stood behind a table and asked.

"No. "

"Okay, so let's talk about the baby. " Devan said.

"What about it. I already told you I would take care of it. "

"Abortion is out of the question Nelly. " Devan stated.

"And who said anything about abortion. "

"You just said, 'I'll take care of it. '" Devan quoted her.

"Yeah meaning I will look after My baby ALONE. I don't need your help. "

"And how would you do that when you don't have a decent job. "

"I do have a decent job as a matter of fact. "

"You call waitressing a decent job. " Devan said humorously.

"It pays better than most jobs. " Nelly defended.

"I can see you've already thought through this but I'm not considering been apart from my child. " Devan said

"Okay. Then once the child is born you can gain part custody. "

"That's a very good idea dear but I plan to be a part of our child's life. I want to be there when he's born. And I have a better solution to this little dilemma. Let's get married.

Nelly stared at Devan mouth open, not comprehending what he just said.

"Sorry you lost me. " She said.

"You'll be seeing my personal designer to choose a wedding dress and I have most of the dresses you bought right here. You won't be needing your old clothes once we are married. " Devan continued to say as if he never saw the unbelievable look Nelly was giving him.

"And what gave you the impression that I would agree to marry you. "

"Come on Nelly, you would do it if it meant seeing our baby grow. "
Nelly could see the threat in his eyes.

"You know with all the money and resources I've got, I'll undoubtedly be granted custody of our child if this was sent to court. " Devan continued.

"This child is mine. " Nelly screamed not knowing what to say again. The arrogant insolence had just threatened her.

"It is also mine. " Devan also argued, screaming back at her.

"Boss. " One of the guards called to Devan.

"What!! " They both snapped at the intrusion.

"What is it, Sam?. " Devan asked calmly after gaining some control.

"This is private boss. " Sam said.

"I'll be with you in the study in a jiffy. "

Sam turned and disappeared in what looked like the study.
