"he told you to get better soon? really..?" felix's voice could be heard over the phone, jisung was sorting out his room and had the boy on speaker.

ever since he got back home, his mom had been bugging him abt cleaning up his room, "weird right? he's never even said anything remotely nice to me"

"mhm maybe he felt bad for not believing you about being sick?" felix said once again, "also i miss you being here, no one comes to the cafe to see me except you"

jisung smiled at his words, "aw..i'll be back soon i promise!" he wasn't lying. he planned on leaving after the family christmas dinner as he didn't want to stay for too long.

"oh my god what are you doing here.." jisung picked up the cat and gave her a hug, "aren't you the cutest"

felix on the other side of the phone was extremely confused, "uhh sung? what's going on.."

"oh right yeah sorry..minho's cat is here!! i'll send you pictures later" he explained, "and before you ask why she's at my house and not his is because his parents are away on a trip"

"that's why he didn't go back for the holidays" he nodded, "everything makes sense now"

jisung laughed, "yeah..he's spending christmas alone like a loser"

he and felix continued to talk for another hour or so before jisung had to go down for his dinner.

"i'll call you later lix" he said his goodbyes and ended the phone call, shoving the phone into his pocket and running down the stairs after he did.

"look who finally decided to come downstairs!" jisung's dad pulled him into a hug, "why didn't you bring minho with you? isn't he all alone for christmas?"

the boy rolled his eyes, "seriously dad..can we go one day without you mentioning him? reminder that i'm your son and not him" he went i of the kitchen to help his mom.

jisung's dad followed, "yeah but he's such a great kid, i would be so happy if you two just got togeth-"

"dad ew!" jisung yelled, "don't ever say that again..how many times do i have to tell you i'm not interested in him! i don't even like him.." he put the glasses and plates on the dinner table.

"honey leave him alone, plus he obviously likes whoever he was talking to over the phone" his mom giggled as she handed him the cutlery to set on the dining table, "so what's his name?"

jisung blushed a little, "lee felix.."

after dinner, jisung sat in his room and watched shows on his laptop with the cat by his side. his hatred for minho was as big as his love for minhos cat, "oh i've missed you" he said as he picked her up and placed the cat on his lap.

he remembered getting yelled at by minho for playing with his cat, and once he even started crying because she scratched him when he was taking her from jisung's arms.

they were only 9 but minho took it personally. after that day, he stopped letting his cat near jisung, but because their parents were so close his cat would always end up at jisung's house at the weekends.

he took out his phone and snapped minho a picture of the cat, captioning it with "she loves me more".

minutes later he got a snap back which said "i hope she bites ur fingers off". he laughed at the caption and decided to snap him back again.

this time he held the cat up to his face and captioned it, "nah she loves me too much".

this time, he got a reply within seconds. "stop holding my cat hostage" he read out loud and laughed again.
