"Do you think that she'll try to harm herself again?"
"She has been looking at the blades in an odd way these days..."
The servants murmured while Obanai and his Tsugoku (Sorry if that's spelled wrong) Fumiko walked down the hall.
Fumiko had often cut herself and tried to kill herself even because she figured that she could distract herself from pain with a different pain.
Obanai worried about her so but he was incapable of showing the emotion. It didn't matter now, Fumiko hated even her own sensei these days. She hated the servants, hated the hashira, hated herself, and most of all she hated life!
Everyday Fumiko wondered where Mizuki had gone to, both her mind and in terms of location. One day, Fumiko recieved a letter from the demon. She couldn't help but jump with joy, was Mizuki starting to feel better?!
She learned that Mizuki was working for a beautiful foreigner named London who she was helping raise a little deaf girl named Adéle.
Mizuki very much admired London because she had not only learned, English, French, Japanese, and sign language but she had also endured many losses with a smile on her face. She desired to be that strong in the heart.
Mizuki was also telling Fumiko about the tales of her dear friend and almost sister, Inigo. Inigo had been sending letters to Mizuki not by choice as Mizuki wanted to get everyone into more human habits.
Inigo was not pleased by the arrangement. She was stuck in the old house on a hill with Kazane. So not only did Inigo have to do human things but she also had to spend quality time with an annoying brat.
One day Kazane had something really shocking that he wanted to ask Inigo, she was not happy about this.
"I think I wanna marry Mizuki, what do you think Ingu?" He proposed.
"First of all, don't call me Ingu. Second, Mizuki would never want to marry a demon like you!"
"But she believes in equality for demons and humans."
"When she was a human she didn't care about demons! She's only concerned now because she IS one." Inigo exclaimed.
Even when Inigo said that, she didn't feel it. Mizuki's form now was a demon but she was more human than ever. No wonder she passed as a human for years on end, besides the more demonic physical features, she controlled her instincts so well!
Actually, Mizuki didn't seem to even HAVE any instincts. She never even showed a fang when around humans. The only time she had ever 'eaten' someone was when she had to be tricked into it.
And even then it left her with such a trauma that she stopped eating soup for good. Inigo had always admired Miki for putting on a smile even when things were at their worst.
She remembered when Hoshi had died and her mother was very sick, her father had also lost his job and he was getting very strict. All Mizuki had was Inigo and Sora to be her light, but even Inigo disappeared.
Mizuki was still trying to put a smile on, she always did! Because she knew that if she put on a happy face she'd find something to actually be happy about eventually. She found Ms. Fuji at the perfume shop!
She also found Hanna and Usagi! And after that she found Fumiko and little Emi. She even made friends with Natsumi, a Hashira.
On a different topic, why was Inigo so insistent that he not marry Mizuki? When it came down to it he wasn't so bad and she knew that Mizuki wanted someone who loved her.
