Her name was Matsumae. She was the prettiest thing that I had ever seen in ages, and by that age I had seen a lot. Matsumae was a very adventurous and risky person, she took what she wanted and she protected what she loved.
The clever girl grew up in a cult like family, they neglected her and practically treated her like trash when they were paying attention to her. But Matsumae didn't care as she got older, because she found someone.
He was a demon. His name was Kazane, quite a brute but extremely strong. He didn't understand by a beautiful girl like Matsumae stuck around him, but he ended up enjoying her company.
The truth was that Matsumae and her family had extremely special blood. Muzan obviously wanted it for his own but the family made an arrangement with him, in return for large supplies of their blood and a human sacrifice he must give them complete safety and riches.
Why would he agree to this your probably thinking? Well I wondered at first too, until I witnessed one of them die. Apparently their blood is only fresh for a day, so if they die a demon only has 24 hours to taste that sweet blood they crave.
So if Muzan ever went past agreement lines the family had a suicide pact going to make sure that he would never be able to betray them.
The family was rotten though. They abused their children and forced their members into terrible things. Among them were the beauty of the town, twins that were tasked with taking care of the human sacrifice.
Matsumae and Megumi.
The human sacrifice was Akira, who had known that she was fated to die ever since she knew how to speak. Akira decided that she might as well have fun up until she died, and she became known for excessive gambling and murder.
She was a gold-digger but she didn't need the gold since her family had plenty, so she just killed the guy after a while. Akira was a very bad person and therefore needed someone to keep her under control.
Matsumae and Megumi were perfect for the job luckily because the three girls had become friends!
Megumi was a studier of jewelry and its history and she often more than not found herself in a relationship because she couldn't just say no. She was very sweet and loving as long as you gave her jewels, other than that she was average at best.
The three lived in a large house in the country, but after a while it felt like they were just waiting out the days. Akira was to be eaten at age 18 since that's when a girl is at her ripest taste with her blood.
One day Matsumae brought a demon home when it neared dawn, her sisters were shocked.
"W-who is that?! Mae-chan that's a demon get it out of here!!!" Megumi screamed.
Matsumae sat down and began explaining why she brought him home. She said that he would be her boyfriend, but even he seemed surprised when she said that. Megumi and Akira sort of had to agree since she was the eldest child.
Kazane hadn't really lived as a human for a long time, so Mae had to show him the ropes. Because they were so far out in the country for its fresh, sweet air, a lot of farming was involved.
"You can eat these vegetables whenever you can't eat humans~" Matsumae suggested.
She taught him how to farm, how to climb trees and run down hills, how to cook and clean, and how to feel. They were almost adults but they'd play in the forest everyday since it was shade from the sun.
