Inigo felt responsible. Everything between her and Douma should have stayed between them, but Mizuki got looped in. She didn't know that Mizuki's great grandmother was widely involved with these demonic acts.

The two of them were sisters! They were there for each other through thick and thin, Inigo felt more like she had a real home with Miki, she was the only one she could trust. It made things even harder for her when she became a demon.

So she suppressed the memories, it was the only way she could erase the pain. But Mizuki had showed up again, alive, but in pain. She had seen a lot over the past few years.

Inigo remembered Mizuki as a friend or an older sister of sorts, but she has changed since they had last talked. She didn't really take care of herself anymore and her once glowing smiles was traced with sadness and fear now.

Both of the girls promised to never lose each other! Mizuki made her own promise that she would get stronger and protect Inigo with her life!

Inigo was very honored to have someone trying to protect her for the first time in a while, but she never suspected what Mizuki meant by 'with her life'.

It happened the first time they met too. When the blossom pillar had caught her off guard and was about to slay her, Mizuki jumped in front and activated her blood demon art out of pure emotion and luck.

The spider was crouched on her knees in tears, the place that the exit led them to was the small bench where Miki and Inigo had their first serious talk as demons. She had almost forgotten what loss felt like...

Inigo felt a hand on her shoulder.

"I know that its difficult, I miss her too. But we have to make her proud, Mizuki wanted you to live otherwise she wouldn't have gotten pierced for you." It was Kazane who said it.

Her eyes widened, he wasn't teasing or insulting her or even picking a fight. His eyes were cold and empty but they were traced with sadness. Was Kazane comforting her?

The truth was, was that Inigo didn't know anything about Kazane's past. The loss he could have gone through, the emotions he felt. He seemed so dense when they were together but was this how he really was?

Maybe being rough was just how he showed affection for people around him, Inigo wasn't sure, but for once she wanted to actually get close to him. Find out what another demon's life was like since all she had ever known was the spider family.

London was unconscious and Snow was healing her small wounds.

"She'll be back..." The small child whispered to the snowy sky.

"Snow, why did you help us?" Kazane got up and walked over to Snow.

"Kazane-kun, I wanted to be like Kei. I wanted to have her freedom and her melody of kindness, but fate was not my friend. I saw Kei find a family and even a home, I saw Harmony, I saw Matsumae..."

Both demon's faces had that same melancholy expression when she reached the topic of Matsumae. Who were these people? What did they do? How did Kazane even know about this? Questions that Inigo may never get answers to.

He had a separate life before he met her, a life that seemed so mysterious.

"I'm going out into the forest for a walk." Inigo exclaimed, wiping the tears off of her face.

As she was wandering through the forest that was more like an icy wonderland at this point Inigo heard cries. She recognized those pleads, and even though they were sad, it was like music to her ears.
