(This chapter circles around harmony and her past life, just thought you may wanna know)

"N-no...this isn't how I planned to end things..." Harmony was on her last bit of strength.

She had been a demon for a long time but this was still a lot to ask a child to do, she was defending an entire town from demons! The poor girl was gasping for air and coughing up blood. She could barely focus.

"M-mizuki? Where are you?" Harmony asked the sky.

Just before it was all over Harmony knew she had to pray. Praying was what her family did when in danger.

Going a couple hundred years back, Harmony and her family lived in an isolated shrine near the edge of the woods. She had her three older brothers, her twin sister, and her parents. They may not have had much money for food but they had each other, and to them that was enough. One day Harmony's oldest brother went out to hunt for dinner since they wouldn't be able to pay, but he came back all bloody and he attacked Harmony.

Her parents forced him off her before he could do any actual damage and they tied him up to a tree outside the shrine. Harmony, you see, was always an odd kid. Nothing seemed to faze her not even what had just happened. The little one simply walked up to her brother, who was struggling immensely and she just held his hand. Her brother soon regained consciousness of himself and he convinced the rest of his family to become demons with him.

"You'll be twice as strong! Twice as fast! And even if all your organs explode you'll still be alive!" He boasted.

Unfortunately he never mentioned the downsides of being a demon such as, eating humans. The family abandoned their shrine and gave it to an old man who was sick and dying. They treated him until he could be left alone and then they were gone without a trace. Harmony's life consisted of helping travelers in the snowy night with her family, and then sleeping for long periods of time in a cave.

One day a demon slayer was injured and in need of medical care, so Harmony's mother went to tend to his wounds. Her mother was good with that medical stuff, her brothers hunted wild deer, her sister could do arts and crafts which helped their father who was the most social out of the family so he was able to comfort their patients. Unfortunately Harmony's mother never came back.

It turns out that the demon slayer was in the area BECAUSE he was trying to find and kill this magical family of good demons. The family didn't have much time to mourn, they had to move to the next little town so they wouldn't be killed. This next town was undergoing some renovations to their most popular inn run by a small foreign family.

"Help us? But I'm afraid we have no money to pay you with" Was what the family said when Harmony's father approached them.

"We don't need money. If you could just let us have a free room for a little bit when it opens we'd be happy to help!" He negotiated.

The family agreed and everyone was at work during the nights and no where to be seen during the day. Since Harmony and her twin sister Kei were too weak to handle the construction work, they had to resort to other forms of work as to gain the trust of their town.

One day when the family was hiding a cave the father explained "We don't want them to know we are demons. But if somehow one of them finds out they won't kill us if they have too strong of a bond with us." Harmony did not like to lie.

She was working as a night time nurse, and she knew she couldn't be fully entrusted with these patients. Months later the inn was finally opened and Harmony's family had a place to stay! However a problem arouse for both Harmony and Kei.
