                    Moonlight enters Bella's bedroom, revealing a tall young man around Bella's age with vivid red eyes and dark brunette hair. He reaches out and touches the dreamcatcher hanging on the headboard of Bella's bed. He turns it in his hand and then drops it. The man moves around the room, touching Bella's stuff. Picking things up, looking at them with curiosity, then setting them down just a little out of place. Soon his hand falls on a red blouse draped over a chair. As he brings it to his nose, he takes a long inhale and then lets out a shaky breath. The man stuffs the blouse into his jacket and walks out of the bedroom. He enters the living room finding Charlie asleep on the couch. He's still in his uniform from work with case files spread out on the coffee table. One file with the name Riley Biers written on it was resting on Charlie's chest. The man leans over him and looks at the Photo revealing that it's himself in the picture. Riley stares casually at Charlie's holster, then silently and smoothly removes his gun from its holster. Riley stares right down the barrel seeing the built inside. Riley points the gun at Charlie's head. He smiles, thinking this could be fun. How far can Riley pull the trigger without it going off? He squeezes the trigger slowly, and the hammer goes back. Before he could push his luck further, a hatchet slams into his wrist, somehow cutting into the marble skin, causing Riley to drop the gun, he looks in the direction it came from, finding Adel. "That was a warning leave or die," Adel spat. Riley rips the hatchet out of his wrist and throws it at Adel, but she catches it inches from her face. Adel looked back to where Riley had stood, but he was already gone. Adel couldn't risk leaving Charlie unprotected, so she pulled out her phone and called Jasper. A few minutes later, Bella comes in through the front door. She walks into the living room, but it's empty. 

                    Suddenly Charlie appears from the kitchen, "Everything ok? It's not like Adel to get you home so late," he said with worry. Bella turns slightly startled. Her father leans against the kitchen doorway.

                    "Actually, I was just with Jackie," Bella said.

                    "Oh...Good. Billy told me she has been having a hard time," Charlie said. There's a knock on the door. Charlie knows who it is, so he heads back into the kitchen with a smile. "I'll just give you two some privacy then," he said. Bella goes and opens the door revealing a worried Adel.

                   "What is it? What's wrong?" Bella asked.

                    "We got a problem," Adel said.

                    Once Charlie goes back to bed, Adel takes Bella to the Cullen household. In the living room, Adel leans against a wall with the hatchet in her hand. "Wait, how could you hurt a vampire with that?" Bella asked, looking at the hatchet in her mate's hands as she sat on the couch with Alice.

                    "I mixed my own venom into the metal when I forged this hatchet long ago," Adel explained.

                    "Who was the man? Someone, we know?" Alice asked.

                   "No, the way he was acting, I don't think he's been a vampire for long," Adel said.

                    "A young nomad passing through?" Esme asked.

                    "A passer-by wouldn't have left Bella's father alive," Rosalie said. The thought of almost losing her father causes a chill to run down Bella's back. Adel is instantly sitting at her mate's side. She wraps an arm around Bella just as the door bursts open, revealing Jasper, who quickly enters the living room.
