After a long conversation with Sam to the borderline of their territory, Adel makes it back to the Swan household. Adel notices Carlisle's car parked down the street, and an all too familiar scent reaches her nose. Adel enters the house through Bella's window, which was left open before she could walk further into the house. A small blur slams into her, causing Adel to stumble back a little. "It's nice to see you too, Alice," Adel said as she looked down at a beautiful, petite woman with bright topaz eyes and inky black short spiky hair. Alice had pixie-like features along with large eyes and long, delicate eyebrows. Suddenly Alice pulls away with her nose scrunched up in disgust.

"Ugh, why do you smell like a wet dog?" Alice asked.

"I had a rough encounter with the wolves after Bella did something extraordinary reckless," Adel explained.

"Bella?! She's ok?! I had a vision of her jumping off a cliff, but I didn't see her come back up," Alice said with worry in her eyes.

"Bella is fine. She should be home soon," Adel said, calming Alice down.

"Have you told her about...," Alice asked, but Adel interrupted her.

"No, and you won't," Adel said.

"But why not? You were made to love her, Adel. No one could ever love her like you do," Alice said.

"It's because I love her that I keep silent....Bella lost her first love Alice, and even if it wasn't real for Edward, it was real for her. Bella needs time to grieve that loss, so for now, I'll help her heal her bleeding heart as a friend," Adel explained.

"And if Bella decides she doesn't want to be a part of our world?" Alice asked.

"Then I'll let her go her happiness is all that matters to me," Adel admitted.

"Adel..." Alice whispered but was interrupted by the sound of the front door opening. Alice blurred out of the room at the smell of Bella's scent. Adel slowly exhaled as she fought with the pain that came with the thought of not being in Bella's life. She blurs out the window giving Alice and Bella some time alone.

Minutes later, Alice and Bella sit on the living room couch together. "Saw you.... a vision of you ....you jumped off a cliff. I knew I'd be too late but....Why the hell would you try to kill yourself?!" Alice asked in anger.

Bella looks down, "It was the only way I could see him, but after hitting that freezing cold water, I finally realized....Adel was right. The relationship I thought I had with Edward was toxic and one-sided," she admitted.

Alice sighs and takes Bella's hand in hers, "We never meant for this to happen....Carlisle had scent Edward away after your first day of school, but he soon returned demanding that he could fight the alluring pull of a singer. I tried to talk some sense into Carlisle, but it was too late. I had a vision that if we tried to separate you both again, Edward would snap and kill you," she explained, then her nose scrunched up in annoyance.

"What is it?" Bella asked in confusion.

"That hideous wet dog smell....Adel was also covered in it," Alice said.
