The Call Of Battle

                    Jackie runs with Bella in her arms, maintaining a steady jog, effortlessly carrying her weight up the mountain. They reach the peak where Adel stands, waiting near a tent erected against the sheltering face of the peak. "Thank you," Adel said, looking at Jackie. She nods to Adel as Bella turns to her.

                    "You should get back before the storm hits," Bella said.

                    "No, I'm staying until morning just in case something goes wrong. Seth will take my place in the morning. He's not happy about missing the action, but it'll keep him out of trouble, "Jackie explained.

                    "We should all get inside before the storm worsens," Adel said, then led Bella into the tent. In the morning, the tent unzips, and Bella climbs out, finding a young wolf with fur mixed with brown, white, and black staring at her, sitting on his haunches.

                    Bella smiled at the sight of him, "Hi, Seth," she greeted. Seth pants and wags his tail a bit as Adel walks out of the tent. She wraps her arms around Bella as Seth jogs off into the woods. "Where's Jackie? Did she already...," Bella said, but Adel interrupted her.

                    "Yes, she left to join Irina on the battlefield. Don't worry, Irina is a great fighter with years of experience," Adel explained. Minutes pass as they wait for any word from the Cullen's or the pack when suddenly Adel stiffness. She looks around, finding Seth by some trees. They share a tense look. "Seth, go," Adel ordered, causing Seth bolts away from the campsite

                    "What's wrong?" Bella asked worriedly. Adel grabs her hatchet, then whips Bella behind her against a cliff wall and takes a defensive stance in front of her.

                    "Victoria... She's close. I can smell her and another. She knew we weren't there, but she caught my scent," Adel explained.

                    "Is...he," Bella said, but Adel interrupted her.

                    "No, It's not Edward. I smell with her... it's," Adel said but was interrupted by Riley stepping out of the woods. Bella immediately recognizes him and is taken aback. Riley edges closer, watching Adel's every move but won't look her in the eyes. "I see the puppet, but where is the puppeteer?" Adel called out. Victoria emerges from the woods. Her eyes burrow into Bella's with bloodlust and revenge. Riley charges toward Adel, but she doesn't even flench. Before he can even lay a hand on her, Seth leaps from the cliff above them, landing on Riley and taking a chunk out of his hand. Riley roars with fury and pain as Seth circles back for another attack. Seeing that she is outnumbered, Victoria begins to back away toward the trees. Adel sees Victoria is about to escape, so she throws her hatchet with all her strength. The hatchet crashes against a tree, making it fall into Victoria's path, just barely missing her. Victoria hisses at Adel but keeps her eyes to the ground, "You can escape. You always do. But you won't get another chance like this again. I promise you that!" Adel growled. What little sanity Victoria had left snaps. She roars and leaps towards Bella, but Adel tackles her in mid-air, causing them both to roll down the mountainside in a death grip. Bella rushes towards the edge, trying to keep them in her sights. Meanwhile, Riley kicks Seth hard in the head, causing it to smack against the cliff side. Sharp shards of rock fall onto Seth, causing him to let out a heart-reaching whine. Bella turns around in fear as Riley spins toward Bella. He slowly moves towards her like a beast stalking its prey. She stumbled backward in fear, almost falling over the side of the mountain, when out of nowhere, Riley was yanked off his feet by Seth, who dragged him screaming into the woods. Seeing that Riley is no longer a threat to her, she struggles down the mountainside to find Adel.
