The game of Truth or Dare continued for sometime, and we all became progressively drunker as the night wore on.

There were some ridiculous dares given; Alyssa had to fake an orgasm, which had everyone laughing hysterically. I had to read my DM's to Charlie out loud, which I obviously took a shot for instead dealing with the embarrassment and judgement. Scarlett gave Jared a haircut, although she didn't take much off because they were too drunk and kept joking around together. As she trimmed his hair, so focused on the task at hand, he was doing his best not to stare at her breasts, but to be honest he failed miserably. But who could blame him, they were right in his face, where else was he meant to look?

I didn't realise how close Jared and Scarlett had become and how many little in-jokes they had. It was interesting to watch the two of them and the way they moved together so seamlessly; comfortably close, but not intimately like Jake and Alyssa. I turned back to Jake and Alyssa; his arm was draped over her shoulder and she had reached up to take his hand, their fingers intertwined together as they talked easily.

As Jared and Scarlett rejoined us in the spa, I looked around and suddenly felt like I was a fifth wheel. To add insult to injury, the one person who I loved most in this world didn't feel the same way towards me. He had moved on so easily, like our relationship had been nothing. Yet, I still wore the golden locket that he had given me when he told me he loved me and promised that he would love me forever.

So I did what any drunk girl would do. I started to use my truth dares to stir the pot. Jake and Alyssa were together without being together which just felt annoying to me considering her incessant need to label every single relationship any of us had ever been in. And Scarlett had a boyfriend; she had no right to be so flirtatious with her best friend. Jared only saw her as another conquest. He would dump her the moment she put out- same as every other girl he had ever been with.

"Scarlett, I dare you to call Tyler and invite him here." I focused my attention on Jared, "I'm sure we would all love his company."

Scarlett did a shot, straight away. Jared gave her a look. Was he concerned at how drunk she was getting?

"That's the first dare that you have turned down." I mused. "You must really not want him here." Again, I turned my attention to Jared, my words slow and drawn out. "I wonder why that must be?"

"I don't want him here, because I broke up with him," Scarlett said, forcing my attention back to her.

"What? When?" Alyssa gasped, genuinely surprised. We had both always joked Scarlett would marry the guy she lost her virginity to, even if it was someone as horrid as Tyler. The guy was good-looking, and had been popular and wealthy enough at school, but other than that he had nothing going for him.

"Ahhh yesterday." She responded, and I watched Jared as he watched her. He was worried about her. She must have told him on the drive here. "Anyway, I'm single now and I don't want to talk about him. It's done."

"Well, I'll drink to that!" Alyssa said and took another shot.

"Your turn, Scar." Alyssa said.

"I think I've had just about enough of this game," she smiled and faked a yawn.

"Well I haven't," I said before she could bail on the night and go to bed. "I've got a truth for Jake, if he can handle it?"

Jake nodded. Alyssa looked intrigued.

"Why won't you commit to being in a relationship with Alyssa?"

"Mila!" Scarlett gasped.

"Please, as if we aren't all wondering the same thing," I shot back at her.
