There are defining moments in your life when things happen; a change occurs, but for better or worse, you can't always be entirely sure. They don't come along and crash into you with the sudden realisation that what you have said or done has influenced either you or someone else. These moments are usually unforseen and go unnoticed.
I've had a lot of these moments and the decisions I have made have changed my life and that of those around me. Sometimes, these decisions have changed lives for better... but now that I look back on it, these decisions mainly lead someone down a destructive path.
It's not until these moments, or an avalanche of these moments, have occurred and the change has already happened that you can look back and think 'that's where it all started', or worse yet, 'that's where it all went wrong'.
Retrospect is a painfully beautiful thing.
