Chapter 24

Everyone is out and made it on time. Thank god the second task is over. I was really worried for a second there. I watch as the judges confer before looking back at our group. Dumbledore heads over to one of the mermaids and speaks in their toung.

I can't help feeling slightly impressed. I mean how do you even learn that. I look over to ask Daphne just to see her talking to some adults in the crowd. Aww shit, is she really going to sue him. I'd kinda love to see that happen.

I focus back in as they give out points. Krum gets the highest which makes sense as he saved his person first and got back first. Somehow I got the second highest and Harry drew with me. That was cool and then it was the twins and then Fleur as though she was back before them she needed help in the challenge.

To me that doesn't seem fair but I would personally rather not fight with the judges so I just leave it for now. After that excitement we head back to the castle. Me, Daphne, Harry and Draco going down to the common room to change.

"I'm going to tell my father about all of this. I'm going to sue that man." Draco grumbles annoyed. "We should team up for it because I feel the same way." Daphne says as the two share a look and smirk that just screams trouble. I look to Harry who just shrugs not caring.

I sighed as I headed inside and changed into some nice fresh clothes before joining the others and heading to the Great hall with them. Slytherin table cheered as we entered. Apparently us getting second and beating the Gryffindor twins in 3rd and 4th was a big thing. We enjoyed some nice food before heading back to the common room. We had some drinks and prepared. It's going to be a lot of hard training now for that third and final challenge. 

I feel a little nervous about it. I mean I don't think I will die but it will be dangerous. Fred and George have been helping me train along with the other champions. Harry though was lucky Professor Moody was training him. I am suspicious about it but Harry keeps reassuring me but something feels off. I mean he left for training at 7pm and he didn't come back till 1am. 

He tried to make up some excuse but I know something is up. I don't have a lot of time to concern myself with it though. Even though I have been excused for my exams for this year I can't let myself fall behind in class. So I'm studying and learning. This is my most productive school year ever. Everyone needs a break now and again though, so I planned one. A date of a kind with George.

I head out to the lake with my picnic supplies. I set up a picnic and wait. Thankfully I wasn't waiting long until George arrived. He smiled as he saw me. I waved and he ran the rest of the way over to me. I looked him over and sighed. "Who did you prank this time?" I ask as he smirks a little bit and just gave me a shrug. I glared him down and he caves. 

"It's just a small prank on the staff room. Nothing to worry about. Now I thought this was meant to help us relax." He says with a smile and I nod. It was meant to help us relax after all. We ate happily. A while later I was cuddled on my back in his lap as he fed me some strawberries. "I just I'm concerned about this last challenge coming up." I admit to him. I feel his hand running through my hair as I relax in his lap with a smile. 

He smiles down at me. "I'm sure it will alright, so try not to worry about it little love." He says as he strokes my hair. "I know I just can't help it.." I say to him as he sighs. "I'll have your back in there. No matter what it is." He tells me as I nod, feeling myself dozing in his comfortable lap. Next thing I know when I open my eyes is how dark it is. 

I feel a hand gently shaking my shoulder. "Come on Julia it's almost curfew." He says as I sit up. I watch him pack up the supplies before pulling me to my feet. I walk with him tired back up to the castle. He then walks me down to the Slytherin common room. "It was good today, I'm glad you invited me." He said with a bright smile. 

It was contagious and I couldn't help but return it. "I'm glad I did too. See you tomorrow." I say as I go to enter the common room, I feel a hand grab my shoulder. I turn back to him confused. "What is it?" I ask him. He looks embarrassed. "It's just I wanted to give you a gift.." He says as he pulls a small bag out of his pocket and hands it to me. I look at him unsure as I take it. 

I open it out just to see a ring with a simple design. The materials were plain but it was beautiful. "I... thank you so much.. but you didn't have to do that for me." I say as I look up at him. He smiles, rubbing the back of his neck embarrassed. "I know but I wanted too. It has a few protection spells on it. It is a also a portkey in case you get in danger." He admits to me. 

"I thank you I truly appreciate that." I say as I pull him into a hug, thanking him. He hugs me back tightly before pulling back. "It's nothing and I'm glad you like it Little love." He says as he pulls me in for a kiss. I kiss him back. "Goodnight George." I say after pulling back before going back into the common room and heading up into my room and straight to bed for the night.
