Chapter 22

It was finally time, the second triwizard trial. The second task you may say and I was terrified. I had practiced, I had a plan, I had explored the lake, I had perfected my spells, In theory I was ready. I still couldn't help feeling nervous though. I put my costume on and my clothes over the top when I notice Daphne didn't come back last night. I look confused and decide to ask Pansy about it at breakfast.

I head down to the common room and then out to breakfast. As I sit down I feel my blood ponding in my ears as it blocks out the sounds around me. I just stared down at my breakfast, unable to eat it as I feel sick. I look down at Harry seeing he was pretty much the same as me. I notice that Draco was missing too which was strange as he was normally very good at comforting us. Quite a few people were missing actually. 

Eventually we left and headed out of the castle, meeting up with the twins on the way down to the boats. George grabbed my hand as we climbed onto the boat in mostly silence which wasn't like any of us. I think we were all feeling the pressure right now. I started feeling sick in the boat, I didn't know if I was just feeling nervous sick or sea sick though not that it mattered much in the end though. 

A few minutes later we arrived. I let George get off first then he helped the rest of us get out. I was panting slightly, getting a few strange glances. Thankfully nobody said anything.  We talked to McGonagall who told us all to get changed ready. I went and stripped down to just my costume as I then went to the front with the other champions, who were also in their costumes. 

As I stand there I feel myself start shaking, Either from my nerves or the cold or maybe both. I stand nervously as I warm my arms, listening to Dumbledore's speech but not really hearing any of it. Fleur looked over at me, obviously noticing. Next thing I know I'm warming up. I look over at her but she averts her eyes with a small smile. I gave her a nod and a smile as I waited for it to start officially. 

Finally the sound went and it started. I watched them all jump in before taking a deep breathe and doing the same. I cast the bubble  head charm and oxygen rushed to me. I slowly start swimming after the others. Krum is half shark which is kinda cool, Fred has flippers and so does George and Harry. They must have teamed whereas Fleur also used a bubblehead charm. 

I keep swimming, Looking down now and then at the seaweed under me. Suddenly the seaweed moves and grindylow start swarming out. I immediately start firing spells off at them. Harry suddenly comes up behind me helping me till they leave. I sigh in relief before turning to him. "Thank you." I say quietly. "No Problem." He says, looking proud. We slowly start moving away from the area when I hear a scared scream.
