Julia Swan-Black

Chapter 15

Later that day Harry and Julia caught up with the other champions; Fred, George, Fleur and Krum. Once they were sure they were alone they gave the others copies of the clues they had been given.  

"Are you your ok to share this with us?" Fred asked. "Yeah isn't it meant to be your advantage?" George asked. Harry and Julia both looked at each other and smiled embarrassed. "Well you see..." Harry started before trailing off as Julia sighed. "We chose to share with you in exchange for other information. Like how to stay under water for an hour." Julia says slowly. 

The other four look at them conflicted but nodded. "Well a bubble head charm should work." Fleur says quietly. "Or gillyweed?" Fred says, "Or a type of transfiguration maybe?" Krum suggests.

They then spend several hours composing ideas together and chatting before splitting up again as they go into the Great hall for dinner. They all sit down to eat when Dumbledore suddenly stood up and got everyone's attention. 

"I just have to say something quickly. The yule ball is approaching - a traditional tournament and an opportunity for us to socialise with our foreign guests. Now the ball will be open only to fourth-years and above - although you may invite a younger student if you wish- Dress robes will have to be worn for the event." Dumbledore starts as chatter breaks out. He waits for it to die down before continuing. 

"The ball will start at eight o'clock on Christmas day, finishing at midnight, in the great hall. Now then - the yule ball is of course a chance for us all to - er- let our hair down. But this does not mean that we will be relaxing the standards of behaviour we expect from our Hogwarts students. We will be having dance classes for those who need them run by your head of houses and of course all of our champions will open the night with their dance partners so good luck everyone." Dumbledore finishes before the plates on the table in front of them filled with food. 

For the next few weeks Julia had a lot of fun watching her friends struggling to ask out girls. Though with who her friends were you should find that disturbing. I mean if they just asked they would have a date in no time at all. "Why do they have to move in packs?" Harry asked looking hopelessly at Draco who had looked at Harry strangely almost odd. 

"Well then why don't you ask someone else out?" He asked. Harry gave him a confused face before Draco turned to him, a slight pink on his cheeks. "Will you go to the yule ball with me Harry?" Draco stutters out, glad they are alone. 

"I umm urrr what? You want me? You want me and you to go to the yule ball together?" Harry asks as he starts getting flustered. Draco rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. " Well umm yeah. I mean if you want to..?" Draco says as he looks at Harry unsure and nervous. Harry suddenly smiles at him. " Yeah .. I mean I would love to." Harry says as they both smile and blush at each other.
