Chapter 23

We slowly start moving away from the area when I hear a scared scream. I turn around instantly just to see Fleur getting pulled down into the seaweed by the Grindylow. I start firing spells fast at them as I move closer feeling nervous about all of this. It is dangerous after all. Fleur had dropped her wand so wasn't much help. Harry swam down to grab it while firing at them too. It was making me nervous. 

I kept firing till finally they left. I used way to much magic so far. Fleur swam to me, pulling me into a hug. "Thanks." She says to me as I smile as she pulls back and just give her a smile and a nod. We then swim off again as I grab Harry's hand as he speeds off. We look around the area desperately. Where are they?

Where are they keeping them? We keep searching, the longer it takes the more nervous I get. We do have a time limit after all. Eventually though we make it, going through some metal gates. We see several unconscious people tied under the water. My eyes widen as I recognise them. "What the fuck.." I mumble out, unable to stop myself. 

As we get closer we see one space empty. It must be that Krum has already saved his person. Ginny, Lee, Draco, Daphne and one person I don't recognise. Fleur swims straight to the young girl. "Sister.." I hear her mumble as Fleur immediately begins releasing her as I swim towards Daphne to do the same. 

After we freed her, I turn to Harry to help him free Draco but the Mer people don't like that so I just pass him the rock I used. After we have all freed our people I start swimming back, dragging Daphne through the water after me. As I get back to the gate with Fleur behind me, I realise Harry hasn't moved yet. 

"Harry, come on. We are running out of time." I say back to him. He looks at me, then back at Lee and Ginny and then back at me. "You two go. I'm going to wait for the twins. I'll catch up with you." He says as I sigh. I feel unsure but I know he will catch us up so we start swimming, dragging our friends behind us in the water. 

I think about what to do as I get more tired dragging her through the water. Then it hits me and I cast a bubble head charm on Daphne. She slowly comes too. She has a glare of malice on her face, Dumbledore is so fucked. He messed with the wrong girl. "I'm going to kill him. I specifically said no to doing this. I'm going to sue him into the ground." She says angrily as she grabs me hand and we keep swimming till we get back to the seaweed patch. 

We swim past fast as we curse the seaweed every time it moves an inch. I'm not playing with those monsters again. We slowly make it back and we break the surface. We swim back to the steps and climb up. I see both Hermione and Krum under towels which are soon piled on us too as I watch the water surface nervous. How was Harry so far behind?

A few minutes behind me Fleur and her sister break the water. She didn't wake her sister under the water so it took them longer to get here. I help load the towels onto the duo as we waited. That is all we could do after all.

Time is running out. There is 5 mins left. 4 mins left. 3 mins left. 2 mins left. I see bubbles coming to the surface. 1 min left. 45 seconds left. Fred and Lee reach the surface and make their way to the steps. 35 seconds left. Draco and Ginny reach the surface looking confused but head to the steps. 20 seconds left Harry reaches the surface and heads for the steps. Where is George? More bubbles reach the surface. 10 seconds left. 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3 George finally appears and heads for the steps as I sigh in relief. That was too close for my liking.
