Steve's POV

It was the end of the day, and Steve was pacing down the grassy fields, which lay just outside the school. As he was nearing his and Robin's usual spot, he heard a panicked voice in the woods. Then, a scream, and the laughter of multiple people.

"What the fuck is this day..." he thought to himself, as he sprinted into the woods to find the source of the screaming.

Eddie's POV

'Hey! Look who's back! Eddie 'The Freak' Munson.' Jason uttered disdainfully.

Inside, Eddie was at his fucking limit. Outside, however, he remained calm. As calm as he could be, as he stared down Jason and his goons.
'Jason! Good to see you again. Can't wait to hang out with me, can you? I mean, you haven't left me alone all day!' He smirked, leaning up against the tree behind him cooly.

'Shut the fuck up, Munson.' Jason sneered.

Eddie made a fake pouting face. Jason payed no mind to him however, and continued,
'We've been noticing that you've been hanging around Steve Harrington a lot recently.' Eddie scoffed,
'It's not purposeful. He's just... always there.'
'Uh hu. Well, we know what's going on. We know what you are.'
'W-what?' Eddie's breath faltered. How could they know? The only person he had told was Robin, and she wouldn't tell anyone? Right? His mind raced. He had to stay calm, stay quiet. To pretend like nothing was wrong, when that couldn't be further from the truth.

'I don't know what you mean, Carver.' Eddie replied, his teeth gritted. Jason looked at his goons, seemingly signalling something to them with a nod of his head. They moved round Eddie, so that he was in the middle of a tight circle, just him and a tall-ish oak tree.

He was surrounded.

'I told you we would finish this, freak. Come to think of it, I always knew you were a queer. But now that I've seen the way that you look at Harrington...'

A soft blush spread over Eddie's cheeks. Had he really been that obvious about it? Even to this moment however, he was still denying that he liked Steve.

It just wasn't an option to have a crush on Steve Harrington as a guy, let alone a guy who was a fucking freak.

At this point, Jason had reached one hand into his pocket, and had begun to produce a shining silver object.

Eddie's fight or flight response set in. He knew that object all too well.

'Alright boys, I guess it's time to play hunt the freak!' And with a flourish, he sent a gleaming penknife spinning straight towards Eddie's skull.

A/N - sorry for the shorter chapter, had to leave it on a little cliff hanger :)
