I turn my alarm off and drag myself out of bed to get ready for school. I still haven't talked to Jack since Monday's incident, it's now Wednesday and I still have no clue what I've done. Honestly, it's been driving me crazy knowing I hurt my best friend but what's driving me crazier is that I don't have any idea why or how I did.

As I walk to my first class of the day I'm already dreading it. It's one of the classes I have with Jack, this is the only class we somehow didn't get moved from by the teacher. It's an older teacher who just doesn't care to make us switch seats at all so all year around Jack and I sat next to each other. I mean, who wouldn't sit next to their bestfriend? Since were kind of not in speaking terms, I knew it would be awkward.

As I started to space out on the lesson, I feel my phone vibrate in my back pocket. I grab my phone out slowly and lift it up perfectly behind the back of the person sitting in front of me so the teacher wouldn't see. I unlock my phone and see who it was from. It was from Jack.

I looked up at him and see he was ignoring my glare and "focusing" on the teacher. The text read "Meet Me At The a Coven right after class" I took this as a great opportunity to settle what ever was going on between us. Also to figure out what happened in the first place.

Throughout class I kept counting down the seconds until class ended. As soon as the bell rung I collected my stuff and walked out. As I see Jack enter the elevator. I waited until he went down and the elevator came back up, then went down to the forth floor.

"Hey" I said once I found Jack.

"Hey" he said with a smile. I walked up to him and hugged him. He hugged me back and we stood like that for a minute or two.

"Why do you hate me?" I asked with my face buried into his jacket.

I hear him chuckle, "I don't hate you"

"So why have you been avoiding me?" I said breaking the hug. He stood there silently going over what I just asked him. This awkward silence just went through the whole room and I was starting to regret my question.

"Because there's nothing worse than watching the person you love, love someone else"

I honestly didn't know what to think, I know he loves me but it sounded like he meant... A different kind of love.

"Why can't you be happy for me?"

"Why would I be happy? The one girl I actually care about is dating another guy she met like a week ago" he snapped back.
I couldn't respond. I was to angry to respond.

"Jack...."

"No ASHLYNN! I've held it in for 4 fücking years, I'm tired of feeling guilty for liking my best friend who thinks I'm gonna break her heart" he shouted.

"Jack..." I said exhaling, I didn't even know I was holding my breath.

He can't like me. It would change everything.

Out of no where Jack cups my cheeks with both his hands, bringing our lips together. Not gonna lie it was better then our "first" kiss but neither of them should've happened so I pulled away, for the second time.

"Jack I have a boyfriend" I said pushing him off me.

"Who cares" he said letting his raspy breath hit my face.

"I do." I shouted and roughly pushed him so I was out of his grip.

With that I walked past him and went back up the elevator. On my way up I kept replaying what just happened.

It went so fast I could barley cope with the information that was told. I'm out of breath, my body is hot, so many questions were raiding my head.

Jack liked me?

Loved me?

For 4 years?

What's Grayson gonna think?

Should I tell Grayson?
