We finished going over our dance and it was really simple in my opinion but hey, I've been dancing basically all my life.

"Okay class, can I have any volunteers?... Ashlynn? Vanessa? Emily? Jessica?" Ms. Sanz asked.

"Sure" we all say and got up. She's starts to while the class joins. I swear she was always happy for the smallest things

I got up and was put in the front with Jessica while Vanessa and Emily were in the back. The song was about a minute long and it was quick. I added my own style to it and just put everything I had which is something you always have to do when dancing, show the audience what you got.

When we were done, everyone clapped for us. When I walked off Ethan had his arms out, asking for a hug.

I gave it to him and even though I was sweaty. He definitely have the warmest hugs.

"Your a really good dancer" he said breaking the hug.

"Thanks I'm trying to get into a dance competition" I say.

"Well your definitely getting in"

"Hopefully" I say crossing my fingers.

"You know... Grayson loves dancers" he says with a smirk.

"I'm sure he does" I say sarcastically.

After class ended, Ethan and I met outside the locker rooms and made our way to lunch.

Once I got our lunch, I went to my everyday lunch table where Holly was already sitting at.

"Ashlynn!" I hear someone call and when I turn around, it was Grayson, I think? Ethan was still in line when I got my lunch and he has in line. I looked at his face and noticed the black mark on his chin and knew it was Grayson.

"Hey Grayson" I say with a smile.

"I'm Ethan" he said with a flat look. I looked at him with wide eyes and looked at his face again.

But I thought Grayson had the dark mark on his chin! Has it been Ethan all along? Oh my-

"I'm just playing" he said hiring my shoulder lightly. I let out a sigh of relief and looked around the room for Ethan.

" So this gonna be the part were you tell me which table to sit at or to avoide?" He ask.

"This isn't mean girls, just sit with me" I giggled a bit and showed him to the table.

"Okay let me wait for my imposter first" he joked.

We waited for Ethan and then walked to the table Holly was sitting at.

"THERES TWO OF THEM! I thought I was just seeing double vision" Holly says out of nowhere. We all laugh and eat our food.

"Where's Jack?" I ask.

"Haven't seen him" Holly says.

"I don't think that Jack guy likes me" Ethan blurted out.

I kinda thought that too.

"You never really know with him" I try to sympathize to not make him feel like someone already hates him on his first day.

As I'm eating I feel my phone vibrate. I take it out of my back pocket and saw it was a text from Jack, it read:

MEET ME AT THE COVEN

I laughed reading the text. It brought back so many memories of Freshman year, not even freshman year, the summer we were about to enter high school. Wow that was a funny day.

<Flashback>

"Hey wanna roam around the school with me and a bunch of other people?" A random boy asked me.

I was honestly bored out of my mind. Holly couldn't make it tonight which made this night even more boring.

Open house night was so useless yet parents were still it serious, like seriously-- high school was gonna be just like middle school except we were basically 6th graders again.

I decided to go since my mom wasn't even paying attention to me and was talking to my future World Studies teacher which I already don't like.

"Sure" I shrug and back away from my mom.

We decided to go in the elevator to the main floor once we were done 'exploring'.

As we were heading back to the main floor I saw there was 4 buttons.

"Hey isn't there only 3 floors in this school" I asked.

"Yeah, this school is small as shit" The boy said, making everyone else laugh. I think his name was Jack.

"Then why is there a fourth button" I asked while pointing at the button that was labeled '4'

"Maybe it's the basement" some random kid said.

"They have so many storage rooms in this school I doubt they need one" another kid added. Before we could even come to a conclusion that Jack boy pushed the button.

"What the fuck dude" I shouted.

"Chill it's just a random floor" he said.

"It could be haunted" some scared girl said.

As the elevator door opened we saw pipes and machines making loud noise.

"I wanna go up" said the scared little girl. All her friends agreed with her. The area looked cool and spooky and I was really curious to see what was down here.

"Then go!" I scoffed.

"I'm out dude, it sounds scary" another random boy said, I think his name was Sam.

Honestly why were they so scared?

"Go along scary cats" Jack teased. Honestly his the reason why were in this mess, so he could be a little more sympathetic.

Gosh, His starting to get on my nerves.

After everyone running off, It ended up being me and Jack left in the group that was originally 6.

"I thought you would be the first to run" Jack teased.

"You thought wrong" I snapped. We continued searching and ended up realizing this is just a floor where all the pipes to the water and the AC is located. We even saw a rat which made me jump.

Jack caught me and asked if I was okay.

I guess he wasn't so bad.

When we got back up we made up this whole story on how we were hearing scratching noises and little baby screams down there. It was so funny seeing their reactions to our story.

Jack wasn't so bad after all.

<End of Flashback>

"I gotta go" I say standing up.

"Where ya going?" Holly asked.

"I forgot something in my bag, it's in my locker" I came up with a lie on the spot.

As I got into the elevator I kept replaying that Back to school Night.

Who would've guessed I would become best friends with the one boy who irritated me the most?
