As my mom and I settled in, I was extremely exhausted and all I wanted to do was lay down and relax my muscles.

"Hungry?" My mom asked.

"Very" I said in a exhausted tone.

As I reposition myself to watch tv, I heard a knock on the door. I stayed put, hoping my mom would just open the door.

"Ashlynn! My hands are busy" she shouted from the kitchen.

"But I just got comfortable" I mumbled so she wouldn't hear.me. Although I groaned really loud so she could, I lifted my weak body up and walked to the door. I swung it opened not asking who it was and thinking back on it, it probably wasn't a good idea.

"Are you okay?"."What happened?". "Why didn't you tell me?"

All these questions came rushing out of Jacks mouth.

"Who told you?" I asked when really, I knew it was only one person I told and that one person that went and told him, Holly!

"Ashlynn I get that you hate me but you should've told me" he said stepping inside my house without permission.

"Can we please not talk now. My moms here" I lied. Honestly I knew my mom didn't have a problem with us talking about it but I was tired and I love sleep more than I do humans.

"Were talking now" he demanded.

"Fine! But in my room, I really wanna lay down" I said making my way up the stairs.

Half way up I stopped, "What!?" Jack said wondering why I stopped.

"MOM! JACKS HERE!" I shouted to let her know. She never really mind since or families know each other and they know we're really close.

"IS HE STAYING FOR DINNER?" She shouted back.

"Are you?" I asked turning to Jack.

"Nah"

"NOPE!" I shouted popping the p before rushing up to my comfortable bed in my room.

"So... Ask" I said leaning on my desk.

"Ask what?" He said sitting on the edge of my bed.

"What do you wanna know?" I said impatiently.

"Everything" he simple stated.

I began to re-tell the story I had already told Holly, laying on my bed next to him not leaving anything out.

"you okay?" He asked after I finished.

"Yeah" I said in a off-course way.

"Ashlynn" he said calmly. If it's anyone who knew when I was lying, it was him.

"I mean... I feel good knowing that his not roaming around possibly doing it to other kids. His in jail and is going to prison" I said leaning up from my bed and sitting up next to Jack. We stood there in calming silence.

I missed this.

"Me too" he said making me jump a little.

"Did I say that out loud?" I asked shockingly.

"Yup"

We laid there in silence, comfortable silence.

"Hey Ashlynn" he whispered.

"Yes Jack?"

"I'm sorry.. You know, for everything." He said calmly.

I sat there and thought about the whole situation that happened like 2 weeks ago. Honestly I would be surprised if he didn't feel sorry. It was his fault.

"It's okay" I said putting my chin on his shoulder.

"Bestfriends?" He asked with a question type face on.

"Let me think" I said leaning off him and putting my index finger on my chin.

"Oh shut up" he chuckled giving me a side hug.

"Bestfriends" I said on his side.

"With benefits" he joked. I pushed him off me and let out an ew sound.

"I was just playing" he said lifting up his hands.

"Knowing you, you would play like that, and ruin the moment" I said with a half laugh.

"That's why you love me" he sat smiling with his eyes open.

"I know" I smiled and hugged him. We stood there silently until he spoke up again.

"You know you never denied that you hated me when I walked in" he said with his chin laying in my head.

"That's because I do-" I said with a chuckle. "-It's a love hate kinda thing" I added.

"Well I don't hate you, I love you so very much." He said giving me a side hug and a kiss on my temple.

"You're so corny" I said, making a chuckle escape my lips.

"But you love it"

"Now that... I do"

I finally got had my best friend back and everything was perfectly back the way it was supposed to be.
