Gine's birthday was in two days, and she hadn't seen anyone since she met Cheelai and Kirian so it was safe to say no one could tell she was different. She was sitting in the living room waiting for Trunks to come home from work, thinking about what everyone would say about her being pregnant. She figured that most people would be happy for her, but when she thought about how her mother would react, she'd stop all thinking and pay attention to something else like names for the baby. Soon the front door opened and Trunks walked into the living room with his head hung over. "Hey, what happened lavender?"

"Nothing, I'm gonna go take a shower." He started walking out of the room but Gine grabbed his arm stoping him.

"Trunks, look at me." He didn't. "Trunks!" He raised his head and Gine's eyes widened when she looked at his face. He had a bloody nose that looked broken, he was covered in bruises, and his lip was bleeding. "What happened?"

"Nothing happened."

"Trunks, please tell me." A tear ran down his cheek as he started to explain.

"I got into a fight with dad. It got real serious and mom came out yelling at us to stop. And she- sh- she had a h-heart attack." Gine's jaw dropped. She wanted to cry, but she didn't and comforted Trunks. They walked to the couch and sat down. He was still crying his eyes out with his head rested on her shoulder. She rubbed his back and he soon was asleep. She looked at him with sad eyes and sighed. She knew Bulma was fairly old and a heart attack was more likley now, but she never thought she'd have one. Gine hugged Trunks tightly, kissed his head, and drifted off to sleep.

When she woke up the next day she was in bed alone. She sat up checking the time. "Ten twenty." She whispered steping out of bed. She walked down stairs and was surprised to see Trunks sitting on the couch when he should've been at work. She walked over to him and sat down next to him. He had a blank face and was staring at the wall in front of him. "Trunks?"

"..."

"Lavender?"

"..." He look over at her with his blank stare. She placed a hand on his cheek and frowned. She had never seen him act like this.

"Are you okay lavender?" He frowned and shook his head. Gine leaned in and kissed him. "She'll be fine lavender. It's gonna take more than that to get Bulma out of comission." He smiled a bit which made Gine a little bit happier. He then pulled her towards him laying her head on his chest. He wrapped his arm around her and placed his hand on her stomach. Gine smiled and snuggled up close to him. The rest of the day they sat around and did nothing.

Time skip brought to you by information. I have deleted both of my other books. I'm more inspired for this one right now and the others were just there. So if you read those and liked them, I might do a remake with a slightly different story. Well, back to the book.

Today was Gine's birthday. Both her and Trunks were asleep until Trunks' phone rang. He woke up and looked at the time. "Who's calling at three a.m?" He answered the phone and was greeted with a strange voice.

"Trunks Breifs?"

"Yeah."

"I'm Dr. Hartig. I'm sorry to inform you but your mother Bulma Breifs, has just passed away."

"What?"

"I'm sorry sir. My prayers are with your family for this hard time."

"Thank you." Trunks hung up the phone and started crying. This woke up Gine.

"Hey, what's wrong?"

"M-m-mom's gone." He sobbed.

"What?" He explained stuttering through his sobbes what had just happened. Gine started crying, but she tried to stay strong for Trunks. She hugged him tightly and kissed his head.
