Gohan found Shimo's egg in the snow and ice after Goku blew up a mountain while training. Gohan thought it was a cool rock and took it home. He kept it for about two weeks. Then it was the big day. Gine came into the world. At the same time Gine was born Shimo's egg hatched. When they named Gine Shimo flew through the bedroom door and landed on Chi-Chi's lap with his head over Gine.
"Goku, what's going on?" Chi-Chi whispered. Goku shrugged
The baby dragon kept staring at Gine until Gine giggled reaching out her hand.
"Shimo." She giggled
After all of this happened Gohan went to his room to find the remnants of Shimo's egg. He ran down to tell his parents about his rock being an egg. Then he realized that they were freaking out cause Gine was gone and so was the dragon. They checked everywhere. They were surprised when they went to Gohan's room and the baby dragon and Gine were on the eggshells on the floor. "Shimo." Gine would say and the dragon would repeat "Shimo."
That's Shimo's story, I hope you like it. It's not the perfect but Cell was evil and Shimo's good so don't criticize my story.
