The day I got to know Zhao Sheng began like any other day. After arriving at school, I hung my bag at the side of my desk, laid my head down, and took a nap. The first class was art class, which I regarded as a useless class- In fact, I felt that all classes were worthless. Instead of learning, I took school as the time where I catch up on my sleep. I don't regret my past behavior, after all- I was right. Where I am today (successful) had nothing to do with school. The only thing I'm thankful for was school brought Zhao Sheng and I together. That guy is here too, but he's another case.
Though, you people shouldn't get cocky. The education system might be shit, but education itself is gold. Don't take knowledge for granted, you fuckers. Most importantly: It's about drive, it's about power! We stay hungry, we devour! Put in the work, put in the hours and take what's ours!
"Liu Jian...Liu Jian, wake up."
I am not an author. I'm going to be dry at describing what's happening. Zhao Sheng said that was fine, "keeping it real" is a good thing he says. Anyways, I'll just write whatever comes in mind.
That day, Zhao Sheng was waking me up again. His voice, unlike the other class rep, was very mild and gentle. I never really told him that I like the way he wakes me up, then and even now. The only difference now is that his voice is more warm and excited. Zhao Sheng is not a very direct person, so I bet he didn't tell you guys we got together in the future. All three of us.
You know what that little fox said? "I don't believe in thirdwheels, I believe in threesomes."
The feeling is mutual.
"Liu Jian, do you have your homework?"
Yawning, I sat up and shook my head. Zhao Sheng looked at me with his blank look, "Ok" then proceeded to ask the person next to me if they have their homework.
Before I knew Zhao Sheng was a crackhead, my idea of him was very different. Stoic, cold, and quiet. He always has this uninterested look on his face. Then later, I found out that it was just because he was just too sleep deprived to care about anything around him.
After school, I encountered Zhao Sheng again who looked frantic, and out of breath. It was a novel sight from his usual cold and refined self. He looked a little frightened when he saw me, then a bit confused. He was probably wondering why a big tough guy like me was holding two adorable plushies. The reason was because I was practicing for a little performance later that night.
Feeling like I need to find another place to practice my little skit, I calmly put Mr. Huggles and Miss Pudding back in my bag. I didn't really see it as a big deal- Zhao Sheng seeing me playing with the plushies.
I witnessed Zhao Sheng trying to flee out of the room, but someone stopped him at the door. It was Zhou Mu. I felt annoyed seeing his face pop out of no where.
Zhao Sheng, "...I'm busy hanging out with Liu Jian, isn't that right?"
I heard my name so I looked up, and saw the smart guy walking towards me. He looked at me with an uneasy face before looking at the floor with an unreadable look. This poor guy was probably getting bullied by Zhou Mu.
I let out a laugh, it has been a while since I talked to Zhou Mu but it seemed his nasty personality was still the same. How pitiful, getting yourself entangled with this motherfucker - so, I decided to help the guy out. I swung my arm around Zhao Sheng's neck. "That's right. We're off to play in the arcade, see ya."
I got my bag, and we walked passed the little shit who had this pissed off scowl on his face.
"Where do you think you're taking me?" Zhao Sheng noticed this that my arm was still on his shoulder longer that it should have, now that Zhou Mu was gone. However, I was serious about the arcade thing. I just remembered that they have this promotional event going on in the arcade. If you brought a friend, they would give you 30% more tokens of what you purchased.
