"Riley, where are you going?" Steve yelled out as Riley was about to leave or school, "You haven't had any breakfast."

Riley turned back to stand next to her brother in the kitchen quickly grabbing a slice of toast which Steve had already buttered for her earlier that morning, "There you happy now."

"Yes, very." Steve smiled at his baby sister watching as she rushed towards the door, "Wait. Is that Dustin's hat."

"Uh, yes." Riley confirmed nodding her head. Steve smiled wiggling his eyebrows at her as a light blush covered her freckly cheeks. She pushed her round glasses back up her nose, "Leave me alone."

"Who you gonna call!" The boy all yelled as they parked their bikes in the bike rack.

"Ghostbusters!" Will, who had been dropped off by his mum, yelled.

Riley smiled walking up to them shoving her bike into the bike rack, "Does anyone want a slice of cold toast." They all looked at her shaking their head, she smiled looking them up and down, they were all wearing matching Ghostbusters costumes with proton packs on their back, "Well don't you guys look lovely."

"I still can't believe you refuse to dress up every year," Dustin sighed, "And why do you have a cold slice of toast?" He asked watching as she threw the toast into the nearest bin.

"I woke up late and Steve wouldn't let me leave if I didn't take something with me. But its hard to ride a bike and eat toast at the same time."

"Are you wearing Dustin's hat?" Mike asked. Riley nodded, Mike pointed at Dustin "But you rode to school with us. So you can't have seen him today to take his hat."

"I have my ways Wheeler." Riley smiled as she lent into Dustin's side smiling when the boy threw an arm around her shoulder.

"Woah, woah, woah!" Mike exclaimed annoyed as he looked at Lucas's name tag.

"What?"

"Why are you Venkman?"

"Because i'm Venkman." Lucas replied.

"No, i'm Venkman."

"Why can't there just be two Venkmans?" Will proposed looking between his two friends.

"Because there's only one Venkman in real life. We planned this months ago." Mike said raising his voice slightly, "I'm Venkman, Dustin's Stantz, you're Egon and you're Winston."

"I specifically didn't agree to Winston."

"Yes you did!"

"I don't think he did." Will sighed.

"No one wants to be Winston, man." Lucas said as the rest of the group including Riley shook their heads in agreement.

"What's wrong with Winston?"

"What's wrong with Winston?" Lucas repeated, "He joined the team super late, he's not funny, and he's not even a scientist!"

"Yeah, but he's still cool."

"If he's cool, then you be Winston." Lucas fired back.

"I can't."

"Why not?" Lucas watched as Mike started stuttering trying to find an answer before mocking him, "B-b-because your not black?"

"I didn't say that!" Mike yelled back defensively.

"You thought it."

"Guys!" Dustin yelled as they all spun round towards him to see what was wrong, but Dustin was watching the school bus, where all the other children were getting off. With no costumes on. "Why is no one else wearing costumes?"

The group all walked through the hallway all of them apart from Riley in their costumes, earning lots of laughs and insults thrown at them.

"When do people make these decisions?" Dustin questioned.

"Everyone dressed up last year," Will sighed before glancing at Riley, "Well apart from you."

"It's a conspiracy, i'm telling you."

"Just be cool."

"Who you gonna call? The nerds!" A group of students yelled as they walked past earning the middle finger from Riley who glared at them as they kept walking.

Riley stood at her locker which was next to Dustin and Lucas's. A skateboard rolling across the floor grabbed her attention as the three turned to watch Max skate towards her locker.

"We gonna do this?" Dustin asked Lucas. Riley furrowed her eyebrows, what were they gonna do? They had obviously disguised this before and Dustin told her everything so why didn't she know what they were gonna do.

"Not right now. We look like morons." Lucas replied.

"Maybe she likes Ghostbusters?" Dustin sighed as Riley rolled her eyes and slammed her locker shut before walking off down the hallway to find Mike and Will.

It felt like Max was all Dustin talked about, Max this, Max that. And it was starting to get on her nerves. Riley knew it was mean to not like Max just because Dustin was always going on about her but she couldn't help it.

"Really everyone dressed up last year." Dustin sighed as they rode their bikes down the road back towards their houses.

Riley shrugged, "Maybe they sent out a letter?"

"What? To everyone apart from us, I don't think that's the case." Lucas said as Riley looked behind them hearing the revving of an engine. A car drove behind them and it was catching up fast.

"Hey guys!" Riley yelled grabbing their attention as they all turned back to see the car.

"Go! Go! Go!" Mike yelled as they all peddled as fast as they could. But it didn't much as the car was still gaining on them, they all quickly swerved off to the side of the road falling into a pile of orange on brown leaves.

"Holy shit!" Dustin yelled as he got to his feet holding a hand out to pull Riley up off the ground, "Are you okay?" He whispered, Riley nodded her head watching as the car drove off further down the road.

"Was that..." Dustin started.

"Mad Max." Lucas finished as the car drove of around the corner.
