Riley sat by herself in Mike's basement. The boys apart from Will who was yet to turn up were all upstairs putting back on their costumes. Riley looked up as footsteps came down the stairs she looked up finding Dustin holding out a Ghostbusters costume.

"No way!" Riley shook her head as he held it out towards her, "I'm not dressing up, and plus that's Egon's. Will is already Egon there can't be two."

"I already talked to Will. He said it was fine." Dustin replied trying to push the costume into her hands, "Please."

"No way. I am never ever going to wear that."

And that was how five minutes later Riley stood in the middle of Mike's basement wearing a Ghostbusters costume. The boys all stood around her smiled at their success.

"I hate you guys."

"Hey, Will!" Mike yelled as they all walked on the grass outside Mike's house towards the road, where Jonathan pulled up with Will in the passenger seat. Dustin and Lucas stood in the street hitting eat other with their pillow cases.

Riley raised her eyebrows, "Seriously?" The two boys turned to look at her hiding their pillow cases behind their back. Riley smiled evilly at them before hitting them with her own pillow case. They gasped in shock before hitting her back and it quickly turned into an all out war.

"Trick or treat!" They all yelled in unison as a lady opened the door to them holding out a bowl of candy.

"Well aren't you cute? The little exterminators." They all looked at her confused before reaching into the bowl each of them grabbing as much candy as they could.

"If I get another 3 Musketeers, I'm gonna kill myself." Lucas groaned.

"What's wrong with 3 Musketeers?" Dustin asked from where he walked besides Riley.

"What wrong with 3 Musketeers?" Lucas repeated in disbelief.

"No one likes 3 Musketeers." Mike agreed.

"I think 3 Musketeers are okay." Riley muttered.

"Yeah, it's just like nougat." Will said.

"Whoa. Just nougat?" Dustin exclaimed, "Just nougat? It is top three for me."

"Top three?"

"Top three!" Dustin confirmed.

"Oh, god. Give me a break."

"Seriously, I can just eat a whole bowl of nougat. Straight up." Dustin started only too be cut off when someone jumped out dressed as Michael Myers holding a fake knife towards them. Riley jumped as Dustin squealed quickly hiding behind the smaller girl.

The person laughed pulling of the mask to reveal Max, "Holy shit! You should have seen the look on your faces." She looks towards Dustin who was still holding onto Riley's shoulders hiding behind her, "You hiding behind Riley, how heroic of you," She turned towards Lucas, "And you? Who screams like that? You sound like a little girl."

She started to walk off leaving the group before spinning back round when none off them moved, "Hey, you guys coming or not? Oh, I heard we should hit up Loch Nora. That's where the rich people live, right?"

Lucas and Dustin looked at each other squealing before quickly following after Max leaving Mike, Riley behind. They sighed looking at each other before following.

"Did you agree to this?" Mike asked looking at Will who was filming everythign that happened on a camera which Bob Newby his mom's boyfriend had let him use.

"What?"

"To her joining our party."

"It's just for Halloween." Will sighed.

"You should have checked with me."

"Well, they were excited. I guess I thought you'd be okay with it." Will told him.

"She's ruining the best night of the year." Mike grumbled walking faster, Riley smiled back at Will before tapping Mike on the shoulder.

"Come on Mike, its just for Halloween."

"Really? You too. I thought you would be against this most off all." Mike replied as Riley suddenly went quiet staring at the floor, "Sorry. That was rude."

"It's fine." Riley muttered glancing around her, "Hey, where did Will go?"

Mike looked back as they both searched through the sea of people around them when they finally spotted him hiding behind a wall holding his knees. They ran towards him Mike grabbing him by the shoulders as Riley gently held his arm, 

"Will, what's wrong?" Mike yelled alarmed, "We couldn't find you. Are you hurt?" 

Will looked around before his eyes landed on Riley who smiled reassuringly at him.

"Holy shit!" Dustin yelled finally catching up with them. Lucas and Max chasing after him, "Is he okay?"

"I don't know." Mike replied slowly lifting him off the floor, both him and Riley placing their arms over his shoulder to keep him upright, "We're gonna get you home, okay? Me and Riley are gonna get you home. Hold on."

Dustin went to help only to be pushed off by Mike, "We got him."

"Riley." Dustin's face fell as the girl refused to look at them only focusing on Will and the floor, Dustin's hat once again falling over her eyes.

"Keep trick-or-treating. We're bored anyway." Mike yelled back at them as the three left.

"It's like... like i'm stuck." Will was trying to explain what had happened.

"Like, like stuck in the upside down?" Mike asked.

"No," Will shook his head, "You know on a View-Master when it gets, like..."

"Caught between two slides?" Riley asked from where she sat on the floor her back leaning against the sofa which Will and Mike were sat on.

"yeah, like that." Will nodded down at her, "Like one side's our world, and the other... The other slide is the Upside Down. And...and there was this noise coming from everywhere.  And then I saw something."

"The Demogorgon?" Mike asked.

"No." Will sighed, "It was like this huge shadow in the sky. Only, it was alive. And it was coming for me."

"Is this all real?" Mike questioned, "Or is it like the doctors say, all in your head?"

"I don't know. Just... Just please don't tell the others, okay? They won't understand."

Riley nodded smiling up at him, "I promise. Cross my heart and hope to die."

"Eleven would understand." Mike sighed looking at the floor.

"She would?" Will asked.

"Yeah," Mike nodded his head, "She always did... Sometimes I feel like I still see her. Like she's still around, but she never is. I don't know. Sometimes I feel like i'm going crazy."

"Me too." 

"Me three." Riley lent her head back and closing her eyes.

Mike looked between his friends, "Hey, well, if we're all going crazy, then we'll go crazy together, right?"

"Yeah, crazy together." Will smiled before they both looked down at Riley who opened her eyes looking between them before giving them a genuine smile.

"Crazy together."
