Hello readers! Super Shenanigans has now hit season 2 and almost 600 reads! To celebrate it, I'm gonna give some trivia/funny details for the story. So let's get started!

Birthdays

Let's start off with something funny. Every character (Except for Spark and Lapis) have their birthday based off of Florida man articles. I was trying to think of a way to come up with a bunch of random dates. A normal person might just get a number or date generator, but I remembered a website for your birthday Florida man article, so I basically did that but in reverse. The dates are almost all of when the article was written, with some being on the day it happened. Sadly I don't remember what all the articles I used were but I remember Snowball's was "Florida man bitten by 7-foot alligator he mistook for dog." Because Spark and Lapis are twins, I gave them my actual birthday because Spark is basically the main character, and Lapis is in charge of the truth or dares

Where it all began.

So, it should be clear by now that Super Shenanigans started off as a Eeveelution Squad AU. Before it became Super Shenanigans however, it was a story called Speed-C137. Speed (the main character of Eeveelution Squad) was mixed with Rick C137, Doofus Rick, and Simple Rick from Rick and Morty. The idea was to have Speed be much smarter, a lot less oblivious, have cool tech, and hang out with Sunshine a lot more. It only had 2 and a half chapters completed before I scraped it and moved on to something else.

Next came a story with no name so I'll call it Mansion Madness. The story was a lot like if someone told me the basic idea of Eeveelution Squad, and I just used it to create my own, non Pokémon, story. There was a big house, 6 characters and the entire thing got scrapped before I even finished the first chapter.

At some point I had a thought like "you know what? I'm gonna try Eeveelution Squad again!" I don't know much about Pokémon at all, so I decided to make everyone humans with powers cause it's the closest I could come up with while still being able to take creative liberties. Not the place you would expect someone to get inspiration, but at some point, I watched a clip from the movie Free Guy that gave me an idea. [Spoilers to the ending battle in Free guy, if you don't want it spoiled, skip to the part where I talk about the powers]. When Guy had to fight Dude (really creative names, I know. They make sense with movie context) he used these glasses that let him have control over his universe because he lives in a game and the glasses basically make him a player. One of the things that happened was his arm switched to a portal gun that he used to get next to Dude and that gave me an idea! I would give Spark the glasses! Well, that was the idea but later on I changed it to just a robot arm.

Powers

I'm gonna try to quickly run through this part. Spark, Lapis, Rose, Pearl, and Diamond were just giving the powers of the Eeveelution they replaced for simplicity. Spark was also given smarts as an excuse for his arm and Lapis got 4th wall powers because of 2 reasons. Crystal, (the one Lapis replaced) was the character who broke the 4th wall most often. The main reason was because I love when characters do that. Deadpool, Sonic boom, Spaceballs, Ferris Bueller's day off, all some of my favorites for the 4th wall jokes. Anyway, Solar got light cause I wanted him to have something nature related without just reusing Rose's, I wasn't sure what I could use for Umbreon so I just gave Jake invisibility, Ella was just a random idea I had and I wanted Sunshine to have something really strong so I thought time manipulation would be perfect.

Something I forgot

I never posted or gave any kind of description on Spark's Bounty Hunter outfit. So lets change that!! I'm not an artist so until I get art of all the characters commissioned, you will have to use this. I always imagined that it looks something like this Minecraft skin without the goggles so you can use that as your idea for how it looks
