Fred was aware of the hostility that George and Edan shared while around each other the next morning. Molly had woken them all early for breakfast. She'd given a 30 minute warning to the children. Edan was in her room waiting for Molly to call for them to leave. "What's going on with you and George?"

Edan stared at Fred from her bed before sitting up. "You should ask him that." It didn't feel like her place to reveal George's feelings for her. It was impossible to explain their argument without that piece of information.

"I did. He told me you got angry with him about us ditching you in Diagon Alley. You went off to some party, came home drunk and picked a fight."

It was a lie. Edan wasn't angry at either of them over the Diagon Alley situation. In fact she was grateful for it because it led her to Cedric. "I don't see why you're asking me then."

Fred shrugged. "I wanted your side of the story Edy. If his version of the story is true it's unfair on your end. Why should it matter who we spend time with? Maybe if you had other friends like we do you wouldn't be so jealous of Angelina and Alicia." He snapped at her. Fred was usually laid back where George was more confrontational. She'd never had a row with him before. It was quite a shock to her.

"Anything else Fred?"

"Nope. I can see why George doesn't want to be around you right now and I have to agree with him." Edan laid back down feeling less excited to be returning to Hogwarts than she had been previously. First her relationship was full of arguments and now her friendship with George was experiencing the same situation. Fred would always side with George, even if she revealed the truth to him.

Edan searched for Cedric throughout the train. She hoped it wouldn't appear as though she was only rekindling her friendship with him because of her falling out with The Twins. Rather than wait for him to find out about the fight she wanted to explain herself. When she came across him he was in a compartment with Cho. It looked like he was having a decent time chatting with her and Edan didn't want to interrupt that. Cho stood up just before Edan was about to continue on to find another compartment. "Oh hello Edan." She said when she slid the door open. "I can't stay and chat. I have to find Marietta."

Cedric smiled at her as she sat across from him. "George and Fred aren't speaking to me." She launched in to the full story. Explaining the argument with Remus at The Burrow, as well as her conversation at The Leaky Cauldron. At first there was some hesitation to fill him in on George being sweet on her but it was impossible to explain without that detail. "Anyway, I didn't want you to think I'd only picked up our friendship again because of my argument with them."

"I wouldn't have thought that at all Edan. If you think about it I was the one who initiated. I'm sorry that the pair of them are giving you such a hard time. Especially about me." Cedric said kindly. Edan was relieved he didn't think she had any other reason to be close to him other than missing his friendship. "How are you and Remus going to navigate your relationship now that we're heading back to school?"

Edan realized her and Remus had never had this type of discussion. "That is an excellent question Ced. I have absolutely no idea. We never made a plan." She regretted not returning Remus' owls and the fight they had in The Leaky Cauldron. It would have been nice to spend the last few weeks of the summer holiday together. It was hard not to question whether or not her reaction to Remus was over dramatic. Edan was sure he meant well but she interpreted things negatively. "I am sure we can mend things though. I overreacted to The Leaky Cauldron situation. I made things worse by picking a fight with him."

Cedric didn't hesitate. "Edy that's rubbish. You didn't overreact at all. You can work things out I'm sure but don't make excuses for his behavior." As much as Edan hated it, Cedric was right. It was reasonable for her to be upset with Remus. "Maybe send him an owl as soon as you can to discuss how you can navigate your relationship this term." It was an excellent suggestion and Edan thanked him.
