Edan had hoped to find something to occupy her time in order to avoid the common room party. Cedric was busy with Cho, Professor Snape had dismissed her for the evening and Dimitri was nowhere to be found.  When she entered the common room was packed full. Harry was on the shoulders of some older students. A hand reached out to him holding the Golden Egg which Harry grabbed. "Who wants me to open it?!" He shouted.

The entire common room broke out in cheers. Harry turn the top of the egg to pop it open. The most unholy screeching erupted from the egg. Edan slapped her hands over her ears and willed it to stop when suddenly it did. Harry had closed the egg once more as Ron approached him. "What the bloody hell was that?" He asked Harry.

Edan may not have been around the Gryffindor's much recently but she still knew the drama between the two best friends. The crowd turned away from them as they continued their conversation. Edan watched a large grin spread across Harry's face. Hermione looked positively thrilled at seeing them get along.

Suddenly Edan noticed Fred and George approaching. "Well, Freddie it seems like Ron and Harry have made up, doesn't it?"

"It does indeed. Perhaps tonight will be a night of reconciliations." Fred responded.

The pair stood sheepishly in front of Edan. "Look Edy, I fucked up. I shouldn't have said anything to Lee. I told Alicia she was being a chav and to knock it off." George said with his hands stuffed in his pockets. He was twisting back and forth, something he did often while he was anxious.

Edan contemplated his words for a moment. "Well, I've been a right git myself, haven't I?" Edan said smiling at them. Suddenly they enveloped her into a tight sandwich hug which Edan happily enjoyed. "Oh you have no idea how much I've missed you." She said refusing the let them release her.

Across the common room Angelina and Alicia made there way over. Edan stared them down the entire walk over. Fred released his grip on Edan but George held on a bit longer, until Alicia shot him a look. "Edan, I'm really sorry for the way I've been acting recently." Angelina said which Edan simply shrugged to.

Silence filled the air until Angelina elbowed Alicia in the side. Alicia rolled her eyes. "Fine. I'm sorry too." She grumbled insincerely.  It was clear she was only apologizing to appease the others but Edan didn't have the energy to call her out on it. Instead she chose to enjoy the evening with her fellow Gryffindors.

The next morning Edan wandered down to her Potions classroom. Professor Snape had never designated a time for them to meet but she figured it would be best to go down early. The class door was open but Edan still chose to knock. "Clearly.. the door is open Ms Wilkies." Came his snide voice from inside.

There was a cauldron boiling in the center table. Professor Snape was sitting there reading the daily profit. "Since you decided to sleep in I took the liberty of getting the cauldron boiling." He grumbled without looking over his paper. Edan rolled her eyes then set her pack down on the table. She retrieve her Advanced Potions Making book and turned to the marked page for Skele-Gro.

She was removing the spines from her third Pufferfish before Professor Snape spoke up. "Why aren't you wearing protective gloves?" Professor Snape hissed at her finally setting down his paper. Edan chuckled at his question. He never wore protective gloves while working with Pufferfish needle. Why would she when it would only lead to him degrading her for it.

"Don't be daft. You would have insulted me if I had!" Edan said laughing once more before quickly stopping. She'd just called Professor Snape daft. They'd only just restarted their mentorship and her she was being cheeky with him. Professor Snape's mouth turned up at the edges slightly before he returned to his paper. This thrilled Edan as she'd never seen such a happy expression on his face - well happy for him
