This is right before s4 but the byers didn't move (again)

Mike and Will both hung out outside for a while. They wanted to spend some time together just the two of them since their other friends are always with them and they don't get to talk to eachother very much. They were at the ruins of castle byers none of them really talking just looking. Mike still felt bad about the fight and apologized at least 30 times that day. Will knew Mike meant it and thought it was okey. Mike still wouldn't stop apologizing. The both of them kept quiet just looking at all the wood.

"Will..." Mike started but got cut off pretty fast. "If you're going to apologize again, its still fine like I said the other 50 times-" now it was Will's turn to get cut off. "No its not fine but that actually wasn't what I wanted to say." Mike now looked at his friend next to him.
"Finally something else from your side wheeler." He chuckled and so did Mike.
"Am I not entertaining to you today byers?" Mike laughed. "I guess you aren't. But back to what you wanted to say.. so what is it?" Will smiled. "I was thinking we could go to a different place for a change. We allways go here or our houses but how about some other place?" Now will looked at him.
"You have a place in mind?" "Actually I do so are we going?" Mike scratched the back of his head awkwardly expecting a no but will agreed. So the both of them started walking to the new place. On the way they talked about the others and about how it wasn't long untill they would be losing light. So there they walked untill they finally reached it.
"So here we are, the famous skull rock." Mike held out his hand to dramatically point it out. Will smiled because of it and then started walking towards the huge rock. Both boys went underneath it and sat down opposite of eachother. "Hey mike.. isn't this... a make out spot?" Will asked smirking in a way. That smirk made Mike feel a bit weird in his stomach. "Is it? I'm sorry I didn't know that" Mike said a bit too quick. Will just smiled to himself. So there they sat talking to eachother about literally everything from gossip to school stuff.
They allways used to do that too they would allways secretly gossip about people in their school. Everyone except their friends of course.

After a lot of time went by the both of them noticed that it was getting dark but also how it was pouring extremely. They were a little too focused on their conversation to notice before. The thing was that they were stuck there now not knowing when they could go back. It also started thundering a little which made Will scared. As much as he hated to admit Will was scared of the thundering because of the past where he had those episodes. The mindflayer actually left a mark on him and whenever it was thundering all the fear he never showed just started showing up out of nowhere no matter how much he tried to suppress it. Mike noticed really fast that something was off. He crawled next to his friend and without a word he hugged him.
Will immediately felt a lot better and wrapped his arms around Mike. The longer haired boy pulled him onto himself. The other boy put his head onto his shoulder. They stayed like this untill the thunder stopped. Will knew it was okey since he knew Mike wouldn't judge him in no way. Even when it was over Mike still held Will untill he was completely calm. The dark haired boy let go then. They both noticed how cold it was and how it was still raining. It was pitch black and both of them felt really tired. "Will we should really head back okey?" Mike said standing up and reaching for Will's hand. He helped him up but didn't let go of Will's hand. They started walking out the woods hand in hand. Mikes hand was feeling really cold but Will's was warming it up. Will couldn't help but softly brush mikes hand with his thumb. It was a really nice feeling for Mike. It made him feel really warm as cold as it was. After some time they reached a streetlight and they stopped. "Were near my house its about a 10 minute walk from here. You can stay at my house tonight nobody is home tonight anyway." Will said. Mike turned to him and nodded. They both just stared at eachothers eyes glowing in the light. Mike's gaze kept switching between Will's eyes and his lips. Will couldn't pull his eyes away from Mike's face. His hair was very messy and wet from the rain. His curls stood out even more from it which Will thought looked beautiful. "You're..beautiful.." Came from Mike's side. Those words surprised Will because it were the exact words he wanted to say but didn't dare. He now noticed Mike staring at his lips and slowly coming closer. He didn't move back and just let it happen. Mike put his hand around his smaller friends waist. Mike noticed that it was surprisingly small which made his heart skip another beat. Mike wanted to kiss Will. So so bad. Their faces were so close they could feel eachothers body heat. Mike looked at Will's lips. "Can I...can I kiss you...?" Mike whispered pulling Will's waist closer to his own so that they were touching. "...Y-Yes.." Will also whispered and mike immediately did. He didn't hold back one bit. He kissed Will like there was no tomorrow still longing for more. Will also did. They were extremely close to eachother. Mike couldn't help but whimper in between a kiss. He normally would feel extremely embarrassed but he wanted Will really bad. Will put his hands onto Mike's face and they kept on kissing. They completely forgot about their surroundings. Thank God it was dark outside so no one was out and saw them. Both of them stopped after almost dying from getting not enough air. They breathed heavily but both smiled to themselves. "Is..this okey?" Mike asked finally breaking their silence. "I really liked it but.." Will stopped for a second which made Mike a bit worried. "But we shouldn't do this outside wheeler." Will started laughing and Mike followed. "HEY QUIET OUT HERE PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO SLEEP." a old angry woman shouted out her window and closed it immediately after. Both boys went back to the house and went into Will's room. They were still soaking wet. "Do you maybe have some clothes i could borrow?" Mike asked pointing out his soaked sweater. ,"oh uhm... probably." Will went over to his closet reaching up for somem clothes which made his shirt reveal his back a little. Mike stared for a second and he saw that Will's back was really pale but there was a red spot so he went over and slowly lifted it up a little to look at the spot. "Mike what the heck are you doing" Will tried looking at Mike's but he was right behind him. "Oh sorry I thought I saw something." He put his hand away and did not hold back on checking Will out. Will obviously noticed as soon as he did and quickly turned around towards the boy. "Why do you keep on checking me out wheeler. I'm not blind." He playfully pushed him back a little. "I'm not-... okey maybe I am. " this made Will chuckle and he gave the curly haired boy the clothes. Mike smiled awkwardly and took the clothes. Will also got some clothes for himself. Mike went over to one corner and started changing and so did Will. The dark haired boy was ready first and laid down onto the bed spreading out his arms and legs leaving no place for will. "Am I supposed to sleep on the floor?" The brown haired boy asked. "No, no you aren't." Mike wrapped his hands around Will's waist pulling him into a hug and then laying down while still hugging the smaller boy. Will at first was surprised but quickly hugged the other boy back. Mike hugged him tightly untill he fell asleep while Will was still staring at his "friend" smiling.
