Will had been hanging out with max and lucas a lot more recently since dustin had been hanging out with Eddie more often. Mike was busy with El as allways. They seemed to enjoy themselves more when they were with just the two of them. Even max was pissed off that El stopped taking her advice. Lucas and max had started hanging out with more popular people so Will joined which didn't bother them at all so they included him always.
Lucas had made Will try out for basket ball. Will was really new to it but already really good. Max was the most supportive friend going to every game of both the boys which was even better.

The boys had game that day. It was already clear that one of the players couldn't make it so Will sat on the bench while Lucas was in the game.
While they were playing Patrick, who was one of the players and also a friend of lucas and Will got hurt. So there Will was on the field. Lucas smiled at Will and he smiled back which gave both if them a little more courage. Will actually scored a few points and when it got to the last one? Lucas kicked theh other teams ass and scored the last point. Everyone screamed happily and the friends hugged. When they looked into the crowd they saw nancy with Fred who was a friend of hers, they saw Steve cheering like a proud mother, dustin with to their suprise actually Eddie also clapping and cheering. Eddie was probably forced but they didn't mind. There was max smiling at the boys and surprisingly... Mike and El cheering as loud as they could. The team was really happy. Everyone hyping lucas up for making them win once again. Jason walked up to Will and put his hand on his shoulder.

"Not bad, byers. Not bad at all expected you to be worse you sure did suprise me and the team." The blond smiled at hima a little they didn't really get along that much. "Uh.. thanks?.." he also smiled back a little awkward.

After the game the team got outside and walked over to the car. Well atleast everyone except lucas and Will. They saw their friends waiting for them.
"Sinclair Byers you coming? You'll miss sout on the fun!!!" It was Jason screaming across the parking lot.
"We'll pass today Jason!" Lucas shouted with a smile when someone jumped into his arms. It was Max. Will looked at them and smiled a little. The others now came too and praised lucas for the game while Will just stood there awkwardly. Mike and El were with Lucas too. So Will just decided that he'd leave. He already walked over to the parking lot. Neither his mother nor Johnathan could make it his mother worked late and would pick him up in about an hour. He just sat down on the side and waited with his bag. He didn't want to admit it but it hurt him that they didn't come since it was important to him. He dried not to cry but the tears just really didn't feel like listening to Will today so he sat thehre and just cried silently. He heard footsteps walking towards him so he quickly brushed them away looking towards the noise. Thehre he was. Mike wheeler who he hadn't talked to since the last campaign which was also only about it.

"Hey..You okay?" Mike looked down at Will sitting on the floor. "Yep...why are you asking?" He looked up to Mike who was only half way visible in the light since it was already dark. "Because you've been crying." He sat down beside Will. "I haven't." Will sniffed which didn't really help him make the lie more plausible. "I saw, Will and also you did a great job out there."Mike put his hand onto Will's shoulder. Will held back from crying once again. He wanted to hug Mike so bad but he didn't. "Thanks.." he looked down and Mike heard the shaking in Will's voice meaning he's about to cry. He put his arms around him and moved closer. "I'm here if you need to talk. You shouldn't be sad after such and eventful day." That when he heard Will crying. It broke his heart a little.

After some time of hugging Will calmed down. They didn't let go of eachother.
"Thanks Mike but you should go now El should be here in about--" "she's staying the night at Max's I'm staying with you. I don't really care if you don't want me to Will." Mike said directly which took Will by suprise. "O-okay?......thanks.. it means a lot..to me" he got quieter at the last sentence. Mike smiled since he heard it. "Thats really nice to hear.." he grabbed onto Will who was leaning against his shoulder. They really liked eachothers company. "Even my parents showed up today to watch you play y'know. My mom was screaming all over the place when you guys won. People looked at her as if she was a psychopath." Mike chuckled.
"Suprising that your lazy dad even showed up." Will laughed.
"I thought they were joking when my dad stood infront the door with his jacket ready to leave. He didn't even ever show up to my events. Guess thehy love you more than me." They laughed even more. "Guess they should adopt me." Will jokingly said. "Oh no I couldn't life with that." Mike slipped up. "Why's that I'm not that bad?" He tried moving away from Mike and lifted his head but Mike's hand held him close."first of all you're not going anywhere and second of all you're the worst." Mike held him as close he could. They were so close they could feel eachothers breath on their skin. Will jokingly gasped and then their laughter broke out. "Then let's just switch parents you take my mom and I take your mom and lazy dad." Will smiled. "Sounds good. Well then I'll just move right in." Mike smiled. "Oh wait... you really shouldn't date your sister." Will said now a little more serious but still joking. "I'm not dating anyone here you idiot." Mike looked at Will still smiling which confused Will. "Wait are you joking or serious." "I'm serious I'm not dating El. I haven't dated her in months. We're just friends." He looked at the others shoked expression. "So you're single.. SINCE MONTHS!?" Will was obviously shocked. "Yup why are you interested?" Mike smirked moving a little closer which made Will only now realize how close they were. He tried moving back once again but then he felt Mike's hand moving from his arm to his waist holding him even closer. He turned into a tomato. Mike wasn't sure if he should kiss him or not. What would he think? He now let go. Will looked at Mike with wide eyes seeing him also completely red. They were still close but Will couldn't help but feel like closing that gap they had. But seeing Mike so red just made him laugh. The curly haired boy really wasn't the type to be blushy but when he was he was straight up adorable. Will began to laugh leaving Mike completely speechless and with a worried look on his face.was he getting made fun of? By Will? No it couldn't be but then he heard Will speak through his laugh. '"PFFFT- y- you can't just-" he kept laughing. "You can't kiss your almost brother can you Mike?" He kept on laughing holding his stomach. Mike just turned more red. "You look like a tomato wheeler." He joked in between laughs. "Speak of yourself byers." Mike couldn't help but try not to laugh with the other boy. Will still held his stomach laying his head onto Mike's shoulder still not being able to stop laughing.
"I'm glad we're not actually brothers then. You're annoying and I don't like you." Mike joked. Them still laughing. They probably looked like idiots but just couldn't help themselves. Will didn't know how much time went by but they calmed down.

"I really wouldn't want you to be my brother anyway to be honest." Will didn't move his head. "Is that so byers?"
Mike chuckled looking at Will's really messy hair. "Yea.. yea it is. You're too loud. Couldn't handle that." He moved his head up to look at mike seeing how close they are once again. They both took peaks at eachothers lips moving closer untill they hear someone shouting. "HEYY BYERS IS THAT YOU!" it was Eddie with dustin. The two boys instantly jumped away from eachother.
"Eddie?" Will asked now getting up.
"Why'd you run off i only came to watch the laundry basket game for you and Sinclair." He and dustin got closer.
"You did surprisingly good out there Will." Dustin hugged Will looking at mike sitting in the floor hiding his face.
Hr knew what was going on in an instant. He let go of Will "you guys waiting?" "Yea my mom should be here any second. Mike's coming over." He scratched the back of his head awkwardly. "I like the jacket by the way byers. How about we burn it and we give you another hellfire shirt hm?" Eddie looked at the jacket Will was wearing which was the one everyone in the team got. "How about we go catch up with Lucas and let those two finish their..... business..." dustin looked at Mike and Will who wer looking at eachother in panic while pulling eddie back to the others.
The two of them may not have kissed but maybe... just maybe this was the start of something new. Maybe Will had a chance? Or did he?

OKEY FIRST OF ALL HALF OF THE STORY JUSUT GOT DELETED AFTER POSTING IT SO I HAD TO WRITE IT ALL OVER AGAIN.
