This is at the start of s4 the upside down thing didn't happen and they're living normal lives (El is still there though)

Everyone except lucas was playing dnd together max and El joined for the first time in the hellfire club. Mike dustin and lucas didn't hang out all that much with Will but Mike had a huge crush on him. Eddie was next to will with his arm around his shoulder. Will was definitely Eddie's favorite. He kept on smiling and never even stopped one second.
Mike attacked but sadly lost.

"And....you died wheeler." Will smirked over to Mike who couldn't help but smile. He looked down pretty fast. El watched him closely and looked over to max who seems to have also noticed. They chuckled at eachother. When the game finished everone went outside and were celebrating their win. Will spotted lucas looking over to them so he went over to him. "How was your game? Did you guys win?" Will smiled.
"...yeah actually we did" lucas also started smiling knowing that someone actually cared. "Thats great!" He playfully hit his shoulder because he didn't know if hugging would be awkward but to his suprise lucas just went right for the hug. "Next time we'll all play together and I'll make sure everone comes to your next game alright man? But tonight we should be celebrating except.. you want to go with them?" They let go of eachother and both saw Patrick watching them waiting for lucas. "Can I-" lucas wanted to ask for assurance but Will immediately knew "no one blames you for anything that simple go ahead and have a good time. You deserve it" Will said still smiling. Max now also came over to the both of them. "How was the game?" She smiled. "Good we won max!" He seemed way more happier than before. "Okey max we should let him go now you say your goodbye." Will glanced at Patrick who was still waiting. Max grabbed lucas and gave him a peck on the lips then she and Will ran off.

Mike watched Will and lucas closely from a far. He felt a bit bad for not being there for lucas but played it down. "Byers finally done over there?" Eddie put his arm around Will's shoulder. "Yep all done." "Hey Will?" Mike asked and both boys stopped. Eddie and Will turned around and will smiled. "Do you maybe want to come over to mine?" Mike scratched his neck awkwardly. Eddie gave Will a certain look "have fun you two" he smiled to himself and then walked off with those words. "Sure then let's go." Will said with a soft spoken voice. They walked over to Mike's bike. "Oh I forgot I dont have my bike i was supposed to be walking since my mom wouldn't make it. "You can hop on the back of mine i don't mind." Mike couldn't look into Will's eyes without turning red. That would have been obvious but it was dark out so will didn't see. They were biking through the empty streets. Will had his arms wrapped around Mike's waist and rested his head on his back since he was really tired already. As soon as they were there both if them got off the bike and went inside. "Hey could I use the phone to call home to tell them I'm staying here?" Will asked when they got to the basement.
"Sure its over there" Mike sat down onto the couch and Will told Joyce he wouldn't be home today. She just told him to have fun and they hung up.
"Alright now that thats out the way, what you wanna do now?" Will sat down next to Mike looking over at him.
Mike was also really tired so he was resting his head on the back of the sofa a little. "I am pretty tired we could do something tomorrow though?" It was more of a question. "Sure where will we sleep?" Will also now rested his head on the back of the sofa still looking at mike who was also actually looking also looking Will in the eye this time. "In my room but I the sleeping bag isn't in the best shape so you can take the bed." Mike got up and reached out to help Will up too. Will obviously took it but Mike didn't let go of his hand and rather pulled him upstairs. Mike was way too tired to even realize what exactly he was doing. They got to Mike's room and mike closed the door. Will only now realized he didn't have anything for the night. "Could I borrow some of your clothes i don't want to sleep in these." "Of course but Nance taking a bath right now. You either wait or change here." Mike got out a sweater and some pants for will to sleep in. "I'll just change here." Will got into one corner of the room and put off his shirt. Mike was intensly staring at Will's pecks. They seemed way too interesting to him to just ignore them. Will catched on really fast and was really embarrassed by it. Mike then notice how much he was actually staring. Will put on the sweater and then put off his pants. Now Mike catched himself checking out Will's butt. God he hated himself for it and tried to ignore it. Will put on the other pants. Mike finally could focus on his own clothes and also started changing.
Will was now the one to check him out but he could actually hide it. When they both were finished changing they got laid down. Mike on the floor and Will im the bed. Even though they were both so sleepy before they were way to awake to sleep.

After 30 minutes of trying Will finally talked. "Mike are you still awake?" He sat up and looked at the boy on the floor. "Yeah I can't sleep the floor is uncomfortable" Mike also sat up to look at his friend. "Then please come up here if you dont mind" Will whispered.
"Sure if you don't mind" the boy got up and sat onto the bed. Will felt really alone before but now he didn't. He had a lot of nightmares recently because of his dad. Will really didn't want to be alone. He knew Mike didn't judge him for it. Which was nice.

"Will about last summer." Mike tried.
"Yea...?"
"I'm really sorry for being such an asshole. We weren't as close after anymore and I'm just worried you thought I meant it. But I swear I didn't-"
"I forgive you Mike. It's kind of nice to being able to talk to you again like this."

Mike wanted to kiss Will so bad at that moment but he didn't want to upset Will. He let him talk.

"I missed you a lot so when you asked me to come over I was really happy you know." The room was really dark but Mike could see Will's eyes shining in the moonlight coming from a window they were beautiful and he could also see Will's face which he couldn't stop staring at. Will also looked at Mike's face. They both kept glancing at eachothers lips.
"I really missed you Will. I really did. And I'm a idiot for not realizing-..." Mike stopped and looked at Will's lips. The desire to kiss him just got worse.
"Realizing..?" Will asked still looking at mike. "Not realizing that i-..." he stopped again. He didn't want to loose Will again. "Please tell me.." Will also now looked at Mike's lips. He hesitated at first but then just bursted it out "That i love you." Mike panicked inside after saying it. As soon as he looked at Will who hadn't moved a inch he just went for it. If he already lost him then he might aswell at least get this one kiss. He pushed Will back and kissed him passionately. To his surprise Will actually kissed him back which was like a dream come true. They kissed eachother and Will had butterflies in his stomach. He had never in his entire miserable life felt better. He didn't ever want this kiss to end. They both enjoyed it obviously. Not only Will felt like never to stop but also Mike. It was nice.
