George

"Is that a vodka bottle?" Dream inquires, removing his eyes from mine.

I follow his gaze and feel my face burn. Dream looks back and forth from the bottle and back to me. His green eyes are confused and he breathes out through his nose loudly. His look finally rests on me again.

"You drink?" Dream is full of questions today. And this is where I'm meant to be the one asking questions.

I nod. "Yeah, Sapnap drinks with me"

Dream makes an amused hm sound. "Do you have anymore alcohol here?"

The question puzzles me a little. Why is he asking? Does he want some.

Great. Now I'm having thoughts about Dream being drunk in my house. The thought of it is stupid but suddenly I'm imagining what it'd be like if he was in Sapnap's position. Lying on the pillows I'm currently on, making no sense and just being goofy. Watching him awake to the pain of a hangover the next morning, his dirty blonde hair stuck to his forehead with sweat and his cheeks rosy. His lips parting as he speaks and his eyes rolling back to try and calm the headache he would have.

What's happening to me? I'm losing my mind.

"I do, probably" I say eventually. Dream chuckles again, that soft ha ha that makes me want to-

"It's Saturday tomorrow," Dream says, making me bring myself back to this moment. "Do you want to hang at my house tonight with Sapnap? Bring some of your drinks over maybe?"

The idea doesn't sound half bad but the cold part of me wants to decline. I shove that away and nod. "Sure" I say. "That sounds good"

Dream smiles and the smile he's giving me feels undeserved. He should be angry at me for treating him so badly. I'm beginning to feel guilty for what I did but he grabs my hand and lifts me up, distracting me a little.

"We should get back to school" he suggests. "It's been way more then five minutes"

I laugh and let go of his hand. "I'm sorry"

"For?" he gives me a cheeky smile.

I roll my eyes. "For running away and being a dickhead"

"Mhm I accept that" Dream says. "Just remember, if you need to talk about anything, I have no rules at my place so come over anytime"

I nod. I think anything means about the car accident but for a moment I let myself believe that perhaps it could be something else. That something? I don't know. Only my deepest fantasies could know but I'll just have to enjoy being there at his house tonight.

What could go wrong?

We make our way back to the school where about forty minutes ago I'd fallen over. The cuts on my hands and knees have now stopped burning but have left some unattractive marks. The type of cuts that just tear the top layer of skin. Those cuts sting the most and that logic makes my brain hurt.

We wander back to the lockers and I get my books out, pretending I'd been there all along. Poor Sapnap, he's still alone in maths probably wondering where the fuck we are. Dream clicks his tongue.

"George?" he asks. "Can I steal your calculator please?"

"Steal?" I question, raising an eyebrow.

"Borrow" Dream corrects. "Can I borrow your calculator?"

"Sure" I say, rummaging around my locker to find it. I know it's in there somewhere but it's probably hidden under all of the shit I have just lying around. I land on something knobbly and pick it up. Sure enough, it's the calculator. I hand it to him and shut my locker, making more noise then I would've liked.
