Rain

Richies POV:
Eddie yelled at Henry and I knew he was fucked. Henry dropped me and started waking towards Eddie. I looked around for anything to hit him with. There was a glass bottle on the floor of the stall right next to me so I grabbed it and smashed it on Henry's head. He fell to the floor unconscious.

Richie: "What the fuck Henry was gonna beat your ass!"

Eddie: "After what I did, I deserve it"

Richie: "you talkin about-"

Eddie: "Uh yeah"

Richie: "I should've let him beat you thinking about it"

Eddie laughed awkwardly

Eddie: "I'm really sorry I don't know what I was thinking I just.."

Richie: "didn't wanna be the towns fag? Yeah neither did i."

Eddie: "Rich. I-"

Richie: "it's fine Ed's. I already know how it is. Nobody wants to be the freak in this  town."

I knew Eddie was trying to apologize but a part of me didn't wanna forgive him. He outed me in front of everyone now I'm seen as the gay guy in derry.

Eddie: "Richie I have feeling for you"

Richie: "My god did the others set you up to prank me?"

Eddie: "no they made me realize I was just to scared t-"

Richie: "Save it dude. Even if you did like me I can't forgive you for what happened. That hurt a lot not just because you didn't feel the same but because you thought it was so disgusting that I was a fag you had to let everyone around us know. Including the only friends I have."

I left after saying that.

Eddie's POV:
God damn it. God fucking damn it. He's never gonna forgive me. Why did I do that?! Ughhhhh!!! I walked out the bathroom pissed at MYSELF because it was my fault this was all happening. It's my fault Richie hates me it's my fault everyone knows Richie's gay and it's my fault the others will probably hate me for what I did to him as well. The rest of the day went by pretty fast. When the bell rang I ran outside to look for Richie. It was raining. I saw him walking so I tried running up to him but when he saw me he started to run. We were both running nobody was around us it was just me and him but I couldn't even catch up to him.

Eddie: "Richie please! I'm really sorry"

He wouldn't listen. He just kept running. Finally he stopped and I was still behind him but not so far to where I had to yell

Eddie: "Richie I'm sorry. I know I'm not a good friend and I know I ruined how people saw you and I'm so sorry. I was scared Richie. I was scared if I returned the feelings you'd say one of your dumb jokes and say you just wanted to see what'd I'd do because it's funny. I was scared people would laugh at me because I was gay. I didn't wanna be gay Richie. It's hard to be gay here Richie. I know because I see what you go through everyday and I was scared."

My legs just stopped working and I fell to the floor crying. Richie turned towards me tears in his eyes.

Richie: "you think I wasn't scared? You think Im not scared to leave my house everyday of my life? I'm always scared but the difference is I don't ruin other people because of it. I mean sure I make jokes but they're just jokes!"

Eddie: "I know and I'm sorry! Okay? I'm sorry"

Richie walked over to me and lifted my head up with his hands.

Richie: "this is fucking gay"

He came in closer and put his lips against mine. It obviously wasn't our first kiss but it felt like it. It was more soothing and sweet. Usually I'd never let anyone do this especially Richie considering how dirty he is but it's just so nice. This time I kissed back. It wasn't like making out or anything it was just a sweet quick kiss. It lasted about 10 seconds. When he pulled away I stared at him tears still all over my face and my hair and cloths were wet from rain falling on the both of us.

Richie: "Im still pissed at you but I'm not gonna let one thing ruin how I've felt since kindergarten"

Eddie: "dude kindergarten? That's how long?"

He laughed and I smiled. I'm pretty sure this was the only time we were both actually genuinely nice to each other which didn't last long either way

Richie: "Well I couldn't have your mom finding out I had feeling for you! She'd be so sad I was cheating on her!"

Eddie: "I just confessed my love for you In the rain and you make a your mom joke?"

Richie: "who said I was joking?"

I laughed and shoved him. We both got up.

Richie: "ice cream?"

Eddie: it's raining?"

Richie: "soooooo?"

Eddie: "what ice cream shop is open!?"

Richie: "we can just buy some at the store!"

Eddie: "whatever dumbass"

We both walked away soaking wet shoving each other every now and then. He grabbed my hand and I looked at him.

Eddie: "you're so cringe you know that?"

Richie: "You don't wanna hold my hand"

I stayed silent and we kept walking
