Jj's POV
It's the end of school and I'm holding cj because she still high but it's almost faded

She's been quiet since she came back from the bathroom and I noticed the tear stains on her face and when I find out who made her cry their dead

"Bonfire? Well,I think she meant to give it to me,so we're all good there. We're going."I said

I see her look at me with tears

"Angel I was just kidding I just wanted you to pay attention to me"I wipe her eyes

She just hugs me tight I put my arm around her shoulder

We follow jb and Pope

"Mr.Heyward, Mr. Routledge,Mr.maybank and Ms.jones just the people I wanted to see" Mr.sunn says as we walk into his classroom

"Wish I could say the same"I whisper into cj's ear

She giggles quietly making me smile and pull her into me

"I have a question of an historical nature for you four." He starts

"I digitize documents for the maritime museum, and in return, I've been given access to the archives. And I found...this"he open his closet and pulled out a box

"A box"Pope says with no interest

"More that a box."

He opened the box and inside was a journal

Pope opened it up carefully to make sure it stayed in take

"It's a diary. The author's unknown'

Pope flipped the pages when the see the wheat symbol

"Woah"John b mumbles

"And this is a sample of a Denmark Tanny letter. Compare the handwriting."mr.sunn places the letter in his desk

To which John b grabbed
"No way"

"It's nearly identical."

"This is Denmark Tanny's diary"Pope says still looking through it

"Guys it's captain limbrey"Pope says showing us a drawing I moved me and Cj closer so we could both see it

"August 6th,1829"Pope reads out loud

" That's The year the Royal merchant went down."John b informs us

"Thank you so much for this."Pope says still looking at the diary

"It's important to know your own history"mr.sunn says before leaving

"Popie what's that?"CJ asks moving away from me

"Oh my god. It's the cross of Santo Domingo."he tells us

We all huddle around him

"It was in the royal merchant it didn't go down with it because we would've saw it when we found it"
