Love again- Charlie swan (rewrite)

Chapter 6

For days after that weekend she had to work and when she wasn't working she was settling family arguments revolving around Bella and whether or not Edward was allowed to tell her. As a result of Rosalie arguing with him he brought up the fact that it wasn't fair if Anastasia let Charlie know about this world if he couldn't do the same with Bella. The silence in the house when that argument happened was a deafening one, as she glared at the young vampire she knew where he was coming from but she also did not care.

Edward simply don't understand that their world had laws that they had to follow, she could tell Charlie everything and anything at any point because he was protected from the laws because they were soulmates, but if Edward told Bella it would result in harm for not only her family but also Bella the daughter of her mate and she damn well didn't care that she was just a blood singer, if Charlie lost his daughter he'd break and if he did, family or not Anastasia would make Edward pay.

As the anger rolled off of her she couldn't help but speed out of her home and sigh as she walked along the road not really having a place in mind to go to.

Just a few days ago everything was happy, she and Charlie were getting closer and closer, she had met the wolves of la push, Sam, Paul and Jared all of them saying the same thing that she did not smell like leech and the fact she could eat food made them trust her more but what made the pack trust her a lot was the way she spoke to Emily, sams imprint, on Monday night the imprint and the vampire stood at the edge of the first between the wolf lands and the vampire lands and spoke about their mates, as they watched the girl talk about Charlie they instantly knew this girl was no threat. As a result of this they along with billy had convinced the council to sign a new treaty which regarded just her, she was allowed in and out of la push as long as she was with Charlie or if she was going to visit the pack and Emily.

But everything good comes crashing down around you at some point, which is exactly what was happening now. She wanted to tell Charlie about what she was, about her world but she knew if she did that Edward would resent her and she knew if she told him too early she could scare Charlie away forever.

As she walked down the street she found herself in front of the family house that her mate lived in and smiled as she realised he yet again was watching a game with billy and Jake. She looked at the house for a second before her smile dropped as she watched Edward stand in the woods. She sighed sadly before she went to walk away but unknowingly to her Charlie had looked out the window the second he felt at peace which always meant she was near but as he watched her sad expression he couldn't help but want to fix it, so he excused himself from the living room and rushed to the front door calling her name as he opened the door.

She slowly snapped her head up to look at him and sighed softly as she rushed at a human pace into him and gripped the front of his jumper tightly not realising she was crying until she felt her own tears fall onto her hand which came as a shock to her. Having not felt tears fall down her face in a long time made her feel weird now that it was happening.

Charlie frowned as he held the girl in his arms and shushed her quietly before he picked her up gently and walked into the living room with her placing her on his lap as he did. He looked to billy and Jake who both sad with worried and confused looks on their faces, both of them having grown close to the vampire girl in the chiefs lap.

He looked down at her and lifted her head gently "why are you crying sweet girl" he whispered as he brushed away her tears
"I had a fight with my family, I didn't even realise I'd walked here" she mumbled as she held onto him tighter
"You walked all the way here" he mumbled before he wrapped his arms around her tightly "it's okay I've got you" he mumbled as he laid a blanket Owen her and held her to him just slowly stroking her hair to calm her down.

The four of them sat in the living room each of them occasionally glancing over at the girl with worried looks, but as the hours ticked by and after many stupid jokes the began to smile again which warmed all of their hearts.

Jacob black looked to this woman as if she was an aunt to him and to billy he had gained an unlikely friendship with the Cullen girl, one he had grown to cherish.

None of them spent much time talking that night, instead they all sat in silence but it was a comfortable silence. And again Charlie insisted she stay the night which she did, she spent the whole night curled into his side.

The following day she was supposed to accompany the biology class on a school trip but with her recent argument with Edward she decided to call in sick and instead she was invited to a beach bbq on la push beach by billy and Charlie was she agreed to only because she knew it was going to be cloudy today.

She walked with Charlie hand in hand across the beach as she carried a tray of brownies in her other hand.

The day gradually went on but on that beach everyone was happy. She spent hours sat on the beach talking with Emily and laughing as she watched the wolf boys throw a ball around with each other.  She looked over at Harry Clearwater, her mates other best friend and she smiled as she watched billy, Charlie and Harry Interact with each other.

After a while of talking she felt his arms wrap around her and she melted into him "hi Charlie" she whispered softly, he smiled as he laid his head on her shoulder "hello Annie" he mumbled as he held her and looked out at the water both of them relaxing as they held each other "I like you coming to these things, my friends like you, I adore you" he mumbled as she smiled "I like it too" she whispered as she looked up at him for a second before she looked back out at the water.

Both of them could feel the bond pulling them together but they didn't want to jump into things straight away, going slow like this was just what each of them needed.

The pack and Emily watched the two with large smiles on their faces, after Ana had told them her story they all loved her and saw her as an honorary members of their pack and the best friend to their pack mother Emily.

Harry and Billy looked at them and knew right then and there that or this woman made their friend happy they would do anything to protect both of them, for they had never seen Charlie this happy not even when he married Renee, everyone on that beach knew that they were made for each other, they all also knew that no matter what happened that she would protect Charlie with her life and so they would protect both of them so that they could all watch in pride as hopefully the soulmates got their happy ever after.
